Thanks again for your input....If you look at the old style 1930's racing cars they were more block colours rather than stripes and gradients..... I tried to keep this style while reflecting an old style engine showing through.....

I think a gradient would detract from the original theme too much.

Maybe u could try with a gradient or faded color

Thanks for the votes and comment... I did try adding stuff to the coloured parts after advice from another skin maker but it looked over done and took away the feeling i was trying to get....

Maybe i was overdoing it and thats why it didnt look right to me..... I will try and incorporate this on future skins in the collection and see how it comes out if i tone it down....

I upvote all of your spirit skins xD love them, maybe u could try to do a vintage finish on the coloured part, some lines or strippes etc
