You have to extract the contents of the addon. Use drag and drop the addon onto your gmad.exe file which should be located in "...\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\bin\" It will then extract the addon into editable files.

When you are in-game hold Q -> click the "Entities" tab -> click the "Other" category -> click the "Gun Case" icon.
