It would be amazing if you created a mod that would remove all items and pixels in case of death, good challenge

could you make a mod that allows all possible items to drop from monsters, but at a random chance and compatible with all mods
HystericalPeanut 2 Jul, 2018 @ 2:33pm
Does it do the same as hardcore?

I finally got around to updating it. You don't have to post twice about the same issue. I'm sorry about the lack of reply until now.

So could you adjust the mod so that when you die in new space areas you lose your items too?
SomethingRetarded  [author] 18 Jun, 2017 @ 9:16pm
@Flunkerdunk
I've never tested this, but I am fairly certain that it depends on whomever is hosting. If you are hosting and have this mod, then your buddy will loose his items even if he does not have the mod.
Flunkerdunk 18 Jun, 2017 @ 7:08am
If I have this mod installed and say my buddy does not have this installed, will he be able to join my game? I'm guessing if he can join without this mod, then he won't lose all his items on death.

Thanks.

It doesn't work in new space areas, when I die in other ship areas and celestial interferences I still keep my items.

This works on 1.3.
If you die in a dungeon, and there is noone else at the dungeon, it will cease to exist and so will your items. If you bring along a co-op buddy, however, the dungeon will continue to exist so as long as there is a player in it (and your items will therfore be recoverable).
PerturbedPat 15 Jun, 2017 @ 6:12am
would this mod work on 1.3? also if I were to die in a dungeon and come back would the items still be there or would they be gone?

@SomethingRetarded
Ah thank you! (Also I love all the mods you have done, thanks for making 'em!)
SomethingRetarded  [author] 24 May, 2017 @ 7:48am
@Kamikaze
That is not a stupid question and it is one I didn't immediately have the ansewer to. I just tested it with a new character and found that this mod is not permament.
Kamikaze 24 May, 2017 @ 4:38am
Probably a stupid question, but will this mod affect my game after I uninstall it? (i.e does it change the game forever?)
TokyoDrippin 30 Apr, 2017 @ 8:12pm
oh damn didnt read this right. Lost all my items xD
foxtronaut_crashsite 6 Mar, 2017 @ 6:07pm
loving this mod. don't like the idea of starting with no sign of my old characters, ie hardcore, but don't like that dying is a 0-risk way of getting home, once you learn to drop off your pixels. now keeping a well-stocked armoury is part of the game flow. great work w this one. keep the mods coming!
