Thanks! I must have mistakenly had another mod active that caused the issue.
I may just need to restart the game, the save must be partially corrupted.
Okay, immediately I'm now an Inbred Saoshyant Descendant instead of a Strong Viking, but I can still enter and browse the religion tab and reformation doctrines
Well, with the filename adjusted version enabled I'm currently in the religion tab for germanic pagan and browsing doctrine options without issues (and tagged around to Zunist, Romuvan and African pagans), going to reload momentarily and try original ASNF
I also experienced a bug where the save game with ASenNewFam (ASNF) where the pagan religion tab causes the game to CTD.
I have not isolated the cause. Games started without ASNF do not experience this issue as far as I could tell. It may be a coincidence caused by another mod, however.
Holy Fury added a new trait file called battle_scars_and_tattoos_traits , which since the game loads and assigns ID numbers to traits from the trait files in numerical followed by alphabetical order, BSaTTs is being read and assigned IDs after New Family's trait file
This means that the a_new_family trait is being assigned an ID number of like 187, and then BSaTT gets 188, 189, 190 etc ( Not Real IDs )
So when you remove a mod with a new trait, all proceeding traits are reassigned a lower number, however your savegame does not know this and that one number of difference could change a Strong character into an Inbred character
@Aegyptus
That said, the only thing incompatible I see with this mod is Holy Fury's new alphabetical trait file, and the only thing needed to adjust to that is I changed your file name from 00_ANF_traits to sensible_new_family_trait which prevents it from altering the new vanilla trait IDs
Thanks!
Somehow messes with traits, such that the traits change on characters depending on if the mod is active or not.
I dont know much about modding so i dont know if you can make another characte be your friend through this but id deffenitly like to see the option to have been granted the tital when starting as a vassle
