hey weebwing don't let the fanatic u.s.e and FFS fanboys get under your skin. in my hosnet opion opoion (i'm kinda right conserevitve here in poctical alment) galaxy in confict is just far more better and devoped anyway. it also most of this mods and FFS assests anyway. but galaxy in conclfit is far better bescue it has far more well devpoebed story and also is bascly this mod and feast fire and smoke combined. also i realy prefer gic beascue it has far more better stuff and acatly is much more compable with fraken universe and openrpg anyway. also my univrse is so old that bascly that is bascly just unable to be fully corupted anyway in the uniservse wide level. but planets and items do however will disaper into perfictly genetic items. but if you want to play gic you got to remove this U.S.E and FFS anyway bescue gess what the most of the factions from FFS and U.S.E are the main big factions in gic anyway.

Ok, thank you very much. I was just looking into re-installing United Systems because I enjoyed it's space encounters and other misc stuff better than I have been enjoying GiC dungeons and encounters.
However if you still say that "this is a bad idea, and will probably make your experience worse" I'll defer to your judgement being the mod author and all. Thanks for the time and activity on a Decommissioned mod.

Lots of lore and some planets sharing the same names leading to confusion.

Mostly just confusion and leading into situations where you might go "wow this is bad" because you're playing US.E or mixing up what is actually part of thr GiC story or US.E story.

Things definitely won't meld gameplay-wise and there are some concerns over a small handful of potential issues in the code (we thought most things different but there's too much in either mod and would ultimately rather people ignore US.E entirely).

I'm considering entertaining the really really bad idea of running both Galaxy in Conflict and United Systems Expansion at the same time. I see that the description says "It is mechanically compatible with GiC, but potential conflicts may arise with non-crashworthy code such as projectiles, some items, and enemies etc." and my question is:

How big of potential conflicts are we talking about here? Like items getting broken due to incompatibilities? Things just not melding together well gameplay-wise? Or 'My AK from GiC is firing Loyalist soldiers instead of bullets now'?

[Galaxy in Conflict] is its successor. US.E had too much sloppily thrown atop itself that it was more viable to simply stop work entirely and instead start from scratch. That's what GiC is: what US.E failed to be.

This mod is a great mod but break unlock recipe in FU; exemple "Inventor's Table and timber are missing from handle craft. Can fix or make a patch to fix this?

Or you can just run the light version of the "Planets" addon, which also solves the 'loading forever' problem that the planets addon introduces.

Do you have any hard evidence to support your claim? I'd love to help, if you provided actual information on the claim that:

"United Systems Expansion" or its affiliate "Planets" mod has -removed- "Lush" planets (known internally as "Garden" planets) from spawning, including its position as the default starting planet of all players outside of modifications to spawn configurations (which neither mod achieves).

You may be mistaken in that your ship is instead "loading forever". Please refer to Bk3000s "Faster Start" mod. Additionally, it would do you well to read descriptions.

It had good concepts, but most were executed poorly. It was an immensely valuable stepping stone which would lead to my current development skills and the formation of a fully unified team with only in-house asset production.

Apparently, 2 years isn't enough to clear out that stigma. Had to remove the steam group which had some info on the team's new mod and a Discord link. People come in thinking we're just making US.E 2.0 and not an actually decent mod. With all that time you'd think people would realise shit happens real quick, and that people do improve over time.

But no, people don't like that. People don't like it when someone they hate actually changes for the better, and isn't working alone this time.

Well, I'll have to admit, this 'disavowed child' did inspire me in a lot of ways to create FFS: Dungeons and Encounters. And there's quite a bit of inspirations I took from this mod for that one.

Dungeon and gameplay concepts mostly, not lore.
