@Der Kürassier: I'm aware of the request to repurpose them, but it's something that is gonna take up a lot of my limited free time, so it's quite low priority for me. I'd rather spend that time making new cool assets than re-release something old just slightly different.

But I do have it in mind and might get to it some day.

Hello there! Wonderful models, though I have a slight issue (more of a personal gripe), and I'm wondering if it could be corrected easily.
These vehicles, as well as all of the others in the EU truck packs are (I saw from Advanced Vehicle Options) to the "Industry - Delivery" category, as opposed to "Industry - Factories". Now, the issue I have with it is that I will get container trucks delivering directly to shops, big and small, rather than from factories to exports, or to warehouses. I personally find it a little awkward to see the container LKWs cruising across a little town, rather than its industrial area...

No worries! :) I totally get the request and I do wish I'd done them differently originally. But it's just so much work and some very very boring work to change them. :P Maybe I'll get around to it at some point

@CC Johnson: Both the trailer and truck needs to be changed if I remember correctly. But importing isn't what takes so much time, it's the setting up the assets. Not because it's a lot of work, but because there are so many. It took me 12 hours just taking screenshots and uploading them to the workshop. And that was the original set, so not the 20 ft ones.

Okay, I DO believe you, and I am sorrry, but obviously, I dont know anything about modding THIS game. I do not wanna open an endless discussion, and hope you forgive me for my curiousity. Firstly, you only have a feeder ship for two packs in your collection, and I personally, would be very content with pack 1 only. Second, I do know that "only" script modding can be a lot of work, but isnt it just copying the assets, renaming them and changing 1 value each?
Also, I dont want you to do anything, I am genuinely interested.

@CC Johnson: The problem is there are 28 container brands, 2 sizes of containers and 2 types of trucks pulling them. Your request is for 112 assets and something like 20-50 hours of work (which comes of out my free time). There's just other things I find more fun. :)

I hear what youre saying, but I think it would be more than slightly different at second glance. Im surely not the only one trying not to use trucks for generic industry. Also, you already made container warehouses, so matching trucks for area industry would only be logical :)

@CC Johnson: It's on my radar, but not sure I will end up doing it. There are a LOT of containers, so it's something that would take me days to do. Usually I'd rather spend that time releasing something new than re-releasing something old as something slightly different.

I love all your container stuff, really helps to make coherent cargo. Thank you for your hard work, your stuff is amazing (warehouses too).
Also, thank you for your help with the "station/harbor problem".
Now, I also love these trucks, but I tend towards using vans only for generic industry so that the streets in front of my commercial buildings where stuff is delivered too do not get cluttered with large trucks. Any chance you could make a version of this for Industries DLC industries similar to https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1730072017 , please?

@mazisky: It's a little more complex since you'd have to change both the trailer and the truck, since they are two separate parts with AI connected to both. But it can be done. Either by resaving the trailers with the right AI and then adding them to trucks with the right AI, or by using ModTools to copy the right properties for both. I've never done it for trailers, so I'm not sure exactly what properties are needed to copy over and what way would be the easiest.

Just keep in mind that this would be for your own personal use only as long as you're using my assets.

I am editing with asset editor some buildings with ItemclassAI mod, switching them from commercial to residential for example, and it works.

Can i do the same with your trucks, switching them from generic to specialized, then saving assets in local to use for myself? That would solve my problem. Thank you

@Avanya, i can understand it. It would be really nice to see your future models for specializations!

Since i use a lot of trucks and i know almost any of them on the workshop, i wanna give you a suggestion for your future works on specialized industry:

There are literally hundreds of OIL trucks around to download, much less for FORESTRY and ORE, and very few for AGRICULTURE.

So, i think it would be nice to focus on those last areas that are pretty lacking. :)

@mazisky: I went with generic goods because it's what makes the most sense for containers and I have plans to make vehicles for the different specialisations. And because if I did make these for the 4 specialisations, I would have people asking me to do every pack for every specialisation - and I don't know if you can imagine how long it takes to import 26x4 vehicles, but it's a long time. Took me about a whole day just to import these trucks and set them up for release. Which is also why I'm not gonna do any of them for the specialisations. I'd rather spend those days making something new.

As for the realism that depends on where you are in the world. My little town has large trucks like this make deliveries to shops. They aren't containers, but they're the same size. It's super frustrating when they block the street, but there are no small delivery vans here. ;)

I am so sad that i cannot use any of your absolutely good-looking container truck collection.
They are made only for generic industry and in this game it means they act as a delivery vans from industry to shops:

this is unrealistic because heavy trucks don't drive into downtown areas to serve little shops, deliveries like those are made by lorries and vans.
Only exceptions are giant malls wharehouses, but in this game there are not.

Also, they are excluded by the heavy traffic ban for the reasons above.


Those trucks should be for all of the specialized industries and not generic, because the game uses specialized industry only for industry areas and highways routes, not for shop deliveries, just like in the reality.

Sorry for the complain, i know it's my problem, i am just sad because those are the best heavy trucks i've found in the game.
