felt like it should've been the shotgunner for the pointman, prison guard for the support,combine soldier for assault, prison shotgunner for technician, and combine soldier (again) for sniper.

There is no shotgun unit. Only a juggernaut unit. Juggernauts use shotguns so you guys should have known that, if you truely support the combine empire.
