These are both huge improvements to the base sounds, thanks for the mod

Nevermind it chose to work on it's own.

Restarted game twice used snd_restart both times and it still uses the default sounds. Was working fine until today. Re-subbed as well!

@kel Just a random SFX video who probably got it from FPSRussia
Kel 24 Feb, 2018 @ 12:05pm
where did you get them from then?

@kel Hah, I guess this is where the original sample comes from, I had no idea

ive been subscribed to this mod since last april and i'm a big fan, the sounds are practically vanilla for me now.

im posting my appreciation at such an odd time because i had found a little 'reminder'

@Kre1 Sounds like a bug, possibly from a texture mod. Try running the game without mods, and if it doesn't help reinstall it. If problem persists, the r/DayofInfamy sub-Reddit is a friendly place to ask for help.

A little off topic from the mod, but has anyone elses flame quality went way down? Its gotten so bad for me that the flames look like squares, and most of the flames from exploding fuel barrels/tanks dont show up. Although when looking through a scope they do.

so real gives me a boner.

Just starting to get into this game, certainly had issues with the flame thrower. I haven't tested it in game, but it sounds really good! Thanks for this.

@Ribbon - Ah yes, Goldwave really does everything. I'll look into it, thank you very much!

Huh, they changed the name and i didn't even noticed, welp, thanks for notifying me.

To return the favor i'll show you how to fix yours. Your flamethrower_looping.wav needs to have audio cues so the Source engine can loop it without getting cut off whenever it ends/something else is playing. To do this, download goldwave, look for somthing that says "Cue Points", then add 2 audio cues, one from the start and one from the end.

If that doesn't work, we both need to talk to NWI.

Great job!

@Ribbon - Yes, it's actually a combination of the first 3 or 4 links you get on Youtube when searching for "flamethrower sound", I'm sure you know that because you searched for that too.

Now, I appreciate your work and please take no offense, but I'm surprised you'd find this low quality because I think your flamethrower sounds horrendous, there's way too much bass and it peaks so bad at times it sounds more like an explosion.

Also, your mod is broken because you named "flamethrower_looping" into "flamethrower_loop", so the main sound loop doesn't play.

great idea.

Sounds great

Sounds really low quality, did you take this off of some youtube video?
Mellifluous 4 Mar, 2017 @ 7:35pm
Sounds like a potentially great mod! Can't wait to test it out!
