Firthermore why do these wrecks have to be burntout husks and not look more like a whole wrecked parts.

Just look at any sci-fi film to see how those wrecks are, either solid ship peices or total vaperized even a whole ship that has been holed with all crew dead is a wreck.

The wrecks in the game are not convincing and cheep looking.

There are a couple of mods that deal in this and you have a salvage lazer that extract all kind of items maybe you SkyWolf can look in to these for ideas.

Hi SkyWolf and All.

Yes you all are right that there is a differences with recycling and salvaging.

They do have same effect as salvaging wrecks is repair old ship to new and recycling wrecks to be rebuilt or parts to be renovated for new replacements, or what ever way you look at it.

Witch brings me back to my earlier post (read for full info) would it be possable in removele of wrecks or more items aswell as sell on or passed onto nerest ship enginee as repair parts.

To add i'm sure that if the sale of relivent parts to engineers will not only make then more usefull but be the right thing to do if they need the parts to repair ship damage.

I've mentioned this in surgestions threads and other posts but alway been ignored, ever wondered where the engineers get parts or how does he/she repair without parts.

Hi, requiemfang is right the mod does exactly what it says it does. I used the picture because ship wreckage (item) are just visualized as containers ingame and I like this picture. You do have a point that it can be a bit misleading. I may change it if I find something better and fitting, but for now reading the first sentence is sufficient clarification to me. I'm not a native speaker but to my knowledge recycling is not the same as salvaging, which should be the fitting word for inspace retrieval operations.

For people interetested in salvaging shipwrecks in space: There was a mod called Explore and Salvage that did that. But I think its not updated for 4.1 and beyond. You can find a link to that in my older comments.

As to the request of additional features: I'm currently not playing X Rebirth anymore, so I will not extend my mods in the foreseeable future. Just maintainance updates when necessary.

Best
Skywolf.

I highly doubt it does, no idea why tthe author decided to use that big ship wreck as a picture, It's not very accurate I beleve and gives the impression that one can recycle ship wrecks froun in space or when a ships go boom in space and leave behind a burned out husk.. I think this mod does exactly what it says it does which is recycle the ship wrecks that are from your personal inventory.

It doesnt recycle capital ship wrecks, right?
Jessa Doom 17 Jan, 2018 @ 7:26am
Graet mod SkyWolf.

Idea whould it be possable to remove the wrecks after recycaling or give more type of wreckage ie refinded metals,reinforced metal plating, forcefield etc like all the stuff that we need to make a ship in small quanities held in storage that would be pick up be owner friegter or delivered to an owners shipyard or nerest capital ship engineer for repair parts.

@Byzod:
I added new options to just recycle 75, 50 or 25 percent of your ship wreckage. I hope that fixes your issue. :)

@Byzod:
At the moment It just recycles all of them but I should be able to add conversation options to recycle in batchs of 100 / 1000 without much effort. Would that work for you? I will probably add a slider one day but at the moment I don't have the time to check that out how that works.

Can you select the number of wreckages recycling to metal scraps?
The mod CSI: Squad Repair need wreckages to repair fighters so I don't want to recycle all of them

i just took a look at the description again and realized i did it wrong
SkyWølf  [author] 4 Apr, 2017 @ 1:24am
It should only be greyed out if you don't have any shipwreckage in your inventory. If that wasn't the case it's a bug and I'll investigate it. Do you run 4.1 per chance? I haven't tested it on 4.1 yet.
Cayde-7 3 Apr, 2017 @ 2:32pm
i went to a friendly junk dealer and the option was greyed out

@senguki
Sorry I don't speak russian. Take a look at the mod I linked below your comment.
The scope of my mod is purely to recycle useless ship wreckage in your Inventory, hence the name.
What you are looking for (according to gooogle translate) is probably the salvaging mod that I linked below your comment.
