Ah, that makes sense.

A lot of the older routes didn't offfer the ND (No Driver) locos when making scenarios, so you had no choice but to have the driver sitting in the cab, so the imagination needs to take over a little.

Yeah, manned helpers died out a long time ago on Stevens Pass. That's actually why there are wyes at Skykomish and Merritt. Now they use unmanned DPUs.

I see helper units all the time, I made this over 5 years ago, fun "wacky" route.

Great fantasy scenario series. It's impressive what some people come up with, even though it looks completely wacky like helper locomotives in the 21st century lol
Not realistic in any way at all, but still pretty fun.

Woo hoo, finally made it back home. Good to see all the gang there to meet me, I kept worrying that Stew (the cow) might wander onto the track during the journey while grazing.
Thanks RB for this series, it kept me entertained for the full suite, good fun and well planned.
Somehow, I suspect I might be back to run some more duties here, but in the meantime, I'll try a few of your other route scenarios.
