Awesome! I don't know why I haven't played this sooner, but I'm glad I finally did. It seems I've played A Demonic Dilemma 1 and now that I replayed ApTag, it's really fun to come back to these great maps!

I did the same thing as wildgoosespeeder. The intended method is more elegant, but imo not that intuitive because it's harder to execute.
Decent map though.

Fun map, indeed easier than the first. Thumbs up.

Maybe it is possible to leave the turret section be but use stairs to access it, but from the other end, to preserve the gap puzzle prior.

You could make the floor where I did the trick in the first screenshot to cross the gap at least two squares lower, which you would need to make the turret section lower, but you can use stairs to fix this issue.

Interesting. I might look into fixing it if I get the time, but I'm not sure I can think of a way, honestly.

Thanks!

Maybe a demo would help. I'll record one shortly.

@wildgoosespeeder Yep, that's the intended solution. How did you circumvent it?
wildgoosespeeder 21 Jan, 2018 @ 11:46am
I don't know if I did the last part right but are you supposed to shoot orange gel into a funnel , because I didn't do that for the final. I guess in theory you could bypass the turrets.

You forgot the "#Beemod", Demon Arisen.

how did you get the super cool music [to me] and the walls that are angle but have no thing that holds it up O by the way nice test :steamhappy:

Great map!

@Hazelius Great to see you back and playing my tests again - you've missed a lot of Portal 2 tests I've made. I've improved a lot since you played my tests so I'd appreciate it if you could check them out!

Also, thanks very much! :) Glad you enjoyed it.

Neat test chamber! Again, one of the very few Aperture Tag maps that is worth playing :)
This chamber actually reminded me a lot of Test Chamber 9 from the original Portal, in that there's a grill seemingly blocking you from progress, and the solution is just there when you look up .

Hey, thanks! :D Yeah your unintended solution should now be fixed - it was as simple as putting grating on the walls to prevent bouncing.
Fumbly Bumbly 13 Mar, 2017 @ 12:29am
I played this again and I think I completed it the intended way/s (I've found two solutions but they both seem pretty legitimate with only subtle differences). Great map, Demon Arisen! A Demonic Dilemma 1 was cool too :)
Demon Arisen  [author] 12 Mar, 2017 @ 10:15pm
@Fumbly Bumbly Thanks very much for bringing that to my attention - I'll add grating to those walls so they can't be bounced across. In the meantime, you might want to try my first ApTag test, it's harder than this one :P

Good concepts, but I didn't need to go down the path with the turrets, since I could simply bounce from one wall to another to enter the section with the faith plate, pass through the orange paint activation field, bounce back along the walls, then prepare the runway. I would try to implement the funnel and the turret path better since I didn't use them (other than using the funnel to get the cube). What's needed to complete the test is ok, so it's a thumbs up from me, but I think it would be so much better if you fix the issues I've stated.
