Penetrating walls and shit
Update: well, I think I guessed right and IT DOES WORK FINE with regular viper tongue-grabs, not working with mod added enemies with tweaked tongue-grab attack (i.e. Viper Primes from ABA).
Seems to work for me in WotC...
Does it need to be? I don't think the Viper's tongue grab ability would've been changed in WotC. Try it and report back.
Oh. I don't know of one that does that. Maybe you could hack the AI file so Vipers don't use that ability.
Not sure what you're asking for?
Could we have a mod which disables this mod? Just don't use the mod.
Could we have a mod which disables tongue grabs through full cover? Use this mod.
After uncovering Vipers and trying to hide along walls, they magically grab you anyway, or flank you. One of the most unbalanced changes in LW2 (and it has plenty).
Sounds good to me. Vipers and Archons had the most disappointing aesthetics of the ETs. The Thin Men were more interesting taking on the Men In Black appearance.
"it is still ridiculous to think that the viper tongue can hit you behind cover ..."
And I never claimed anything else, but there are quite a lot of ridiculous things in games, including XCOM.
Quite right, but I was talking about my specific situation, which you can't know, obviously. That was: soldier without "buffs" and a Viper without damage. Viper hit chance against a soldier behind full cover was 70%, I think. 30% for a miss is quite a nice chance.
One must be very unlucky if the soldiers get always grabbed. That was all I wanted to add :-)
What have you done!
if you have red fog enabled, it can hurt the snake hit chance. add in full cover and you can be pretty safe thanks to red fog... its really really strong. so sometimes you don't have to use flashbangs if the enemy health is really low.
