@Yoko Taro Yeppers, I'll likely upload a B19 version today.

Because I don't want to change this texture any more for the people who might prefer it, I created a new version with a gray texture: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=892937516

Personally, I don't like all of this yellow being between all of my dirt and stone. I think the yellow sticks out like a soar thumb.

I remember trying the grey and it blending in with marble like you said, so then I tried going a lighter gray and it blended in with ice. As someone who likes playing on maps with lots of marble, I think it would be a bit of a crime. ;)

After this last update, do you think it looks different enough from sand to stand out?
PyreStarite 26 Mar, 2017 @ 5:41pm
I would have liked the gravel to be gray, but then it would go from looking like dirt to looking like marble... but on the other hand, would that be so much of a crime?

Update: lightened the gravel texture so that it's easier to differentiate from sand. Also posted a few more screenshots to show how it would look in different biomes.

@TheProcrastinator Are you referring to the colour or the texture? I'll agree that the colour is somewhat similar but I tried out a lot of different shades and this was the most visible one against all the other terrains that wasn't an outlandish colour. I thought the texture difference between the gravel and sand were enough to differiate them but perhaps I was wrong. I added screenshot of gravel next to sand so everyone can see what we're referring to.

Could you please go with something that looks less like sand? It looks alot like sand.

I see, thank you.

Yes, so "Where is rich soil?" is a good complementary mod for this one. I use it myself. :)
Athorgo 16 Mar, 2017 @ 6:33pm
Fistula, Gravel has 70% fertility, meaning you can still grow things on it, but thing grow slower on it than normal growing terrain. Rich soil has 140% terrain btw.

Still pretty new to the game. Why should I care where gravel is located, what's its use?

@East What lord_crumb said.

As mentioned in the description, it's a higher resolution texture. Same principle but a better aesthetic.

Not only does this mod help identify the most powerful resource in the game (the fabled Gra-Vel, mysterious gift of the Goddess Thrrpd'ingle, and necessary to build the MechaStoat), but it also makes you grow another arm. 3 thumbs up.
