Have also finished and uploaded Voyager voicepack: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2436110600
, CharacterTemplate="SparkSoldier"
after
TemplateName="DataVoice-Spark_TNG", ArchetypeName="DataVoice.Voicepack_Arch"
and
TemplateName="DataVoice-SparkFX_TNG", ArchetypeName="DataVoice-Spark.Voicepack_Arch"
, inside the parenthesis. As it stands there's nothing to tell the game that this voice is SPARK voice, so I think it just defaults it to adding it as another option for regular soldiers.
However, if the mod author doesn't release a fix (it is a four year old mod lol) this is a simple fix that doesn't require any XCOM modding knowhow. You just need a copy of notepad and the filepath, which is in the mod description.
if not you should and make worf for the skrimishers
Maj. Picard: SHUT UP WESLEY!
step 2: install this mod, attain guinan voicepack
step 3: play xcom as usual, but with a wholly accurate recreation of whoopi goldberg.
but i also happend to like Q and wesley, although the women's voices have rather bad quality (they all sound disturbed or FX-ed)
Still thumbs up from me! :)
The character pool won't show up (if you use that as well). You can manually copy over the character pool file.
I will update the voicepacks eventually when there is more info about assigning voices to the new cues for Reaper/Skirmisher/Templar.
I am most definitely looking to do this - as well as integrate robojumper's voicepack script which fixes a lot of the broken cues in the original SDK guide (DefensiveProtocol never triggers, even though I have voices assigned to it)
What isn't clear yet is if the new soldier types have custom cues that I need to account for, or if they use the same cues as regular soldiers (but they say different things)
I noticed, quite an insult to the fairer sex.
No, but I've added instructions above to prevent one or all characters being assigned to new recruits. Be aware that Wesley has two entries in XComContent.ini - one for male and one for female.
This mod will be updated in a month or so, you will probably need to repeat the instructions when that happens. The update will use robojumper's voicepack script, this fixes many of the cues that currently don't trigger properly.
i can't tolerate it
Sometimes Picard dashes.... on the grass...
"I'd like to see her naked, and so all her clothes fall off"
Absolutely essential mod. Thank you
Best line. . . Like-- THE best line in this whole pack. Outstanding mod! XD
>>will Picard say "Shut up, Wesley!"
I'm afraid not, soldiers have a single voice cue for the death of any ally. Though you may find Wesley being told to shut up in situations other than his death.
Great job, Number One... SUBSCRIBED.
Yes.
>>I only get half the voices available. Am I doing something wrong?
Female voices can only be applied to female soldiers?
Word.
