Acemond, yeah, your mod is awesome. I think I don't have to do anything now. Thank you.
I will promote your mod.

If you find this game interesting and want to play more, go check this mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2071758840 by Acemond . It has deeper strategy and higher variability.

Now, I don't mean to do competitive promotion here but I already wrote a scripted mod with the extensions.
Acemond 8 May, 2020 @ 2:26am
@Cafe Games, actually there is no second printing of the games rules for Kingdomino. Queendomino deals 4 tiles for 3 player but not Kingdomino. Bruno Cathala recommends dealing 4 tiles for 3 players in the base game in his blog but that's it, the rules hasn't been re-printed.

The script for this game is incorrect. For example, in a 4 player game there should only ever be 4 face up dominoes each turn. Not eight. Once everyone has selected their domino and turn order, then you flip the next 4 dominoes.

Great mod ! So you think you will add the extensions ?
Cafe Games 19 Apr, 2020 @ 8:50pm
That's fine, I have my workaround anyway. Probably won't need any of this stuff after covid anyway haha. Thanks for the mod, and stay safe.

Cafe Games, as I've said I haven't played this game for ages, don't know if there were any changes.

Currently all of my free time I spend playing with my friends. When this situation (covid) ends up, I will take a closer look at all of the feedback to my mods and will make/update my mods. As for Kingdomino, I think it has to be the part of Queendomino+Kingdomino mod. But for now, let this implementation of the game to be.
Cafe Games 19 Apr, 2020 @ 7:35am
Oh I didn't know there were different printings, this is just the rules that are in my physical set, the first version that came out in our shops around here.
Okay I see in 2017 they changed the rules. We can always just use the workaround. Do you know if there were other rule changes?
cryptosha  [author] 19 Apr, 2020 @ 6:53am
Cafe Games, I guess you've found the rules for 2nd printing of the game. When this mod came out there was the first printing only and it contained the 3_tile_rule for 3 players.

I've not played this game for ages; there are some Queendomino mods and I thought it would be better to make (if it's not there) a new combined scripted Kingdomino+Queendomino mod with all possible setups and variants. And leave this mod as it is. Anyway, thank you for your feedback!
Cafe Games 19 Apr, 2020 @ 6:13am
I guess the workaround is to tell the game that you are playing 4 players and then it works fine :-)
Cafe Games 19 Apr, 2020 @ 6:04am
hehe, no you misunderstand - 3 players should be dealt 4 cards.
cryptosha  [author] 19 Apr, 2020 @ 5:26am
Cafe Games, it's weird. Did you have other players at the table. Are you sure you clicked '3 players' at the start ? (just try once again in HotSeat and you will see that the script takes 3 tiles)
Cafe Games 19 Apr, 2020 @ 12:39am
Seems to be a bug when playing with 3 players that it doesn't deal out 4 tiles, and unless I'm mistaken, the number of tiles seem to have been reduced as well??
We got around this by just manually placing out the 4 tiles and discarding the 4th (as per the rules) but we had to reshuffle the discard pile due to the oddly reduced number of tiles.
Katria 15 Apr, 2020 @ 8:01am
@kallanreed I have noticed that deviation from the rules as well, but I feel like this way players are encouraged to make more strategic choices. I'm inclined to play the game this way with physical copy too.
Rabid Pickle 6 Mar, 2020 @ 3:35pm
The scripting for the tile sorting and moving rounds along is amazing. The tiles aren't snapping to the grid quite right and I had to turn it off because when placed, tiles were overlapping a bit and not sitting flat
kallanreed 1 Dec, 2019 @ 3:07pm
The second line of tiles isn't supposed to be drawn/revealed until after the first selection. See rule C: "When all the dominos have been chosen, (then) form a new line". Could just have the second row start flipped instead of changing the whole script.

Thank you!
cryptosha  [author] 14 Apr, 2018 @ 7:55am
Enatee, fixed. Thank you.
Enatee 14 Apr, 2018 @ 7:35am
Not workink, tiles are blank.
cryptosha  [author] 22 Jan, 2018 @ 6:03pm
Code War, read the rules https://my.mixtape.moe/zhgkmj.pdf (p.2, paragraphs A and C). Basically, you take your first tile and immidiately move your meeple to the right column (to the tile you want to take the next turn).
Code War 22 Jan, 2018 @ 2:50pm
When starting a game, tiles are dealt to both columns and revealed. Shouldn't there only be one set to choose from at a time?
Hpxro7 27 Dec, 2017 @ 12:38am
Amazing! Thanks so much for the quick response :)
cryptosha  [author] 27 Dec, 2017 @ 12:30am
Hpxro7, Fixed it. Thank you.
Hpxro7 27 Dec, 2017 @ 12:22am
cryptosha, it seems like there are some issues when trying to run the game. Any player count doesn't seem to work, and it's failing to load a model here: https://pastebin.ca/3399534
cryptosha  [author] 2 Aug, 2017 @ 11:43pm
Fyxsius, players can select every tile they have and move them (with the central tile) in the direction they choose. I still don't understand why it should be 6x6 or more. I don't know how to help you, maybe don't lock the tiles you put into your kingdom. Seriously, I had no problems doing my kingdoms with the central tile in the corner.

Fyxsius 2 Aug, 2017 @ 10:13pm
You are not limited to only having your kingdom (the central tile) sitting in the middle of your kingdom. That is only one of the variants in which you earn 10 points. You are allowed to build a kingdom that consists of no more than 5x5 in any direction, but this is not solely around the kingdom start.
cryptosha  [author] 2 Aug, 2017 @ 9:27am
Fyxsius, I don't understand why players should play on 7x7 (except 2 player variant). The rules forbid players to build a kingdom consist of 6_or_more columns or 6_or_more rows. If you can't fit some dominoes (usually one) then it is wasted (discarded) and you don't get a perfect kingdom. Nothing tragic here.
If you want to play on an infinite grid then remake this mod for your needs. I did the game the way it should be played.
Fyxsius 1 Aug, 2017 @ 11:13pm
It's nice looking, but as deepblue said, players don't always build in a perfect 5x5 grid (though it's usually not a good idea to stray far from that setup before they start messing up their kingdom. Would you perhaps be able to give players let's say a 7x7 or even 10x10 area just to have more room to build?
cryptosha  [author] 16 May, 2017 @ 11:42pm
deepblue, what's the problem to move your castle out of the center ? While in the mid of the game just select ALL of your tiles and move them in any legal direction.
Secondly, in advanced rules (p.4) it says, players have to build 7x7 grid.
Have fun playing this game!
deepblue 16 May, 2017 @ 7:34pm
Hey @cryptosha, when playing on 2p advanced, the grid is 7x7 with the castle in the center.
Since your grid is locked, that doesnt allow to expand from the castle +7 in any direction.
The game is not meant for being a perfect square, it can expand in any direction.
Please remove the grid borders.
And great work on gfx etc. looks very nice, cant wait to play.

I approve. Thanks for making this variant :)
