you could create a mod to remove items after death, its working principle is quite simple, but it would give a completely different approach to the game, if all items from the inventory were completely removed after death, it would create a positive circulation of weapons and armor, which would equalize the balance of resources and items in large modpacks

hm
mrderpyderpy 16 Feb @ 8:12pm
yea insulting people that are telling you something you don't like always makes the game run smoother just like your brain, FU has written a whole page about this and they tested all of these mods they do nothing,
Δ-k180 6 Feb @ 9:17pm
i think Alucard † is probably a bot.
Δ-k180 6 Feb @ 9:04pm
@Alucard † did you know: all video games use a gpu in order to process the following: geometry, images, your mother, AND MANY MORE.
Nachi 1 Feb @ 11:04am
If you people want actual fps improvement, install OpenStarbound, it's not on the workshop it's a community project you can find it on reddit or their discord

Does nothing for the performance like rest of the placebo mods.

Only real way to make this game run better is to pop it on a machine with CPU that has top tier SINGLE CORE performance.

As this game utilizes no GPU and only single core of a CPU

nice. ty
RetroJolty 27 Nov, 2023 @ 11:43pm
thank you.
Mabra 2 Sep, 2023 @ 7:18am
Does it work with parallax from modded biomes ?
Ashtar 11 Jul, 2022 @ 5:09am
i see one conflict with this mod "Beauty Bound" you can check?

make one or other not work..
Simply a Speck of Dust 15 Jan, 2022 @ 9:20am
@Faber Roze This mod still does as describes without any issues. Parallax images still get compressed and FRAPS reports around 10+ fps with this installed. At least in my case. Hope this helps :SBpenguin:
ꜰᴀʏʙʀ 3 Dec, 2021 @ 9:21am
I've heard that after 1.4, this mod is no longer necessary as the new updates already patched some of the bugs and that subscribing to this mod will bring the bugs back. Can any experts verify this?
jameslionbreath 17 Sep, 2021 @ 9:59pm
So if i uninstall the mod will the images turn back to the way they were?, or do i need (or should) backup a specific file
sebastropas 26 Sep, 2020 @ 2:26pm
Nice mod,now i can play on more than +20 fps
Violyris 6 Jun, 2020 @ 11:10am
This shit's good. Thanks a lot, it finally makes the game playable even on my crappy PC
Dawne the bun 12 Mar, 2020 @ 1:22pm
I'm gonna try it out with all of the other mods i have none of them are fps improvment though, mostly just qol and object additions.
SkillerX 22 Dec, 2019 @ 11:24am
does this help the fps cap at around 62frames? i have a 144 hz monitor and a good pc but my frames are capped and i search a way to get max performance
Spectreblitz 16 Dec, 2019 @ 8:23am
I have a £600 gaming laptop, I shouldn't have to use FPS improvement mods but oh well

Im glad I have because it runs so smooth, its such a shame that something that is built to play games can't even run a 2D platformer without lagging and frame jumping

I appreciate your mods and they have done me a great pleasure :)
Mark 26 Oct, 2019 @ 10:51pm
my frames have been saved!
AnormaL 14 Sep, 2019 @ 12:35pm
@Memy I am using since it came. No problem so far.
Memy 14 Sep, 2019 @ 9:02am
does it work with 1.4?
Xannis V 20 Jul, 2019 @ 9:13am
@173-Radio, yeah, that'd boost the FPS greatly. My totally uneducated guess is that could be done somehow disabling the parallax function althogether, and replacing the parallax images for one single solid background.
DSC-173 13 Jul, 2019 @ 12:09pm
This might sound like a dumb idea, but what about "flattening" the parallax backgrounds into a single image? Could that potentially work as a FPS booster?
RustedRegime 27 Jun, 2019 @ 3:17am
mmmmm-mmmmmm good!
AnormaL 16 Jun, 2019 @ 6:34pm
Is this mod up to date for 1.4?
한쿡외쿡인 12 Jun, 2019 @ 7:01am
Warning: FISH_NIRVANA is a troll writing "bad" in every mods he comments
Real Wise Shit 10 May, 2019 @ 4:33pm
bad
ThatApeGuy 12 Mar, 2019 @ 4:19am
works perfectly best mod i have installed in A LONG TIME 10/10
justintime4u2bu 18 Jan, 2019 @ 12:14pm
It wasn't the cause, you're good.
It must be a FU update or something then, Reinstalling...
justintime4u2bu 18 Jan, 2019 @ 12:43am
oddly i think this caused a music bug in the flower biome (I think) where music doesn't play and the background doesnt change correctly, I'll uninstall quickly to see if this fixes the issue, but I think i do see better performance out of this mod.
Bits 5 Jan, 2019 @ 6:21am
Ill try but know for a fact its on a gradient in a snow biome that I have found at night. (Caused by palletted colors screwing with the gradient) Ill tell you if i see it and it may not be easily patchable.
Xaliber  [author] 5 Jan, 2019 @ 1:35am
Without screenshot I can't really check as I've checked manually each images and it looked fine... please let me know if you encounter that again (and take screenshot if possible). Thanks btw! :)
Bits 4 Jan, 2019 @ 10:32pm
Cannot remember where it is, Though it is there and its not a mod incompatibility
Xaliber  [author] 4 Jan, 2019 @ 8:12pm
@Lycia the Lycanroc:
Thank you for helping explaining! :)
Xaliber  [author] 4 Jan, 2019 @ 8:11pm
@Meme Lord Stranger:
It's compatible with mods that add/change parallax but those mods' image won't be compressed (unless the authors compressed it already).

@ferlol15:
If you want to recover the lost parallax you need to delete the affected planets (planets that have no parallax). Go to the planets, take notes of each coordinate. Then in Steam Library, right click on Starbound and choose "Browse Local Files". You will be taken to Starbound folder, open /storage/ folder. Open /universe/ folder. Find the files with file type WORLD that has the filename that matches your coordinate. You can also sort the files by "Date Modified", it will show the most recent planets you visited. Delete those affected files. Reenter the planets.

It's a bit of hassle, but alas that's the only way to regenerate planets the way Starbound works...
Xaliber  [author] 4 Jan, 2019 @ 8:10pm
@Bits:
Can you provide a screenshot? Would love to check it out.
Bits 4 Jan, 2019 @ 7:35am
Though its worth the loss.
Bits 2 Jan, 2019 @ 4:13pm
On some planets with gradients on the background like on a certain type of snow planet (Forgot what one) the loss is extremely apparent and hurts the detail hard.
Azuli-Bluespots 18 Sep, 2018 @ 4:06pm
For whatever reason, this mod was crashing my game. Went to the CF forums file and manually installed it... It works. No idea what the hecc happened
Slime In A Box 30 Jul, 2018 @ 9:03pm
Got a huge performance boost, this one really works, and it works really well.
Saygon 16 Jul, 2018 @ 5:43pm
Thank you, friend!
You did really good mod, thanks! :steamhappy:
Buchkov 12 Jun, 2018 @ 1:37pm

Sophie the Opossum 31 May, 2018 @ 4:23pm
it's as simple as, the images were pngs with near to no optimisation, with this the images are smaller in filesize so they load quicker meaning better performance
狼Volcck☭ 30 May, 2018 @ 6:26pm
i don't understand how this shit works

:steamfacepalm:
MrBigBand 27 May, 2018 @ 6:32pm
I changed this mod for the other that you´ve created, I have uninstalled the other mod (paralax remover) and instaled this, but it still doesn´t shows the paralax, what do I have to do?
necrotv 26 May, 2018 @ 9:22am
good
Meme Lord Stranger 16 May, 2018 @ 6:08am
Is this compatible with mods that change parallaxes or add them (Ocean Planets)?
Drift_91 2 May, 2018 @ 7:48am
@Lycia the Lycanroc I would assume so. The description does say "(with no quality lost)".
Sophie the Opossum 18 Apr, 2018 @ 8:41am
is this lossless compression like in optimisebound?
