If you place a structure down in a town, the town steals ownership. Unless it's on the roof of a building you bought. It's an unfortunate aspect of the game's design. That's why it's hard coded to not allow players to build structures in a town outside of bought buildings.

is there a mod that let us place this down anywhere? i want to siege stack but the area (green) for where i can build is too far away to stack to make use of this mod :/

No just the MK I varients. I know some other guy copied my mod a short time after I put mine up. His might have other varients.

Scratch that. I just went in game, built a turrets, exited the game, opened the game, and imported the save. The turret was still there after the import. I then made another turret and it built fine.

I looked at the patch notes again and it says the changes are to the skill used when using a turret amd the drawing mechanic of the crossbow turret. At least that's what I believe it was saying. So it might affect how the turrets behave in a fight, but it wouldn't affect the ability to build them.

I'm sorry, but the dissapearing turret issue might be on your end.

That said, I'll open the mod program and add the new recipe to the robot workbench soon.

Yeah, I'm looking at the patch notes. He made changes to turrets. I might need to redo all the turrets. This might take some testing.

Hey guys. I haven't logged into steam in a while. I can try adding a recipe to the robot workbench. It would take the form of a new research unlocking a recipe. Regarding damage I wouldn't want it to be higher than a normal turret because then no one would build the normal turret. Regarding the turrets disappearing, is that happening to anyone else? It's possible the dev did something to the parts that form the physical turret but it's also possible it's a mod conflict. I'll open the mod creating program and see what's what.

weird bug but i just logged into a save file and the mod dissapeared along with all turrets

Thanks for the mod. This is the only reason why I've been able to survive encounters with enemies with just my team of characters. Having a turretman helps.

Can you make a version with higher damage? or does it just use what ever the games ini says for stats? i really love the mod but currently turret damage in game just sux. its the armors fault tho its not the weapons fault.

Neat. See if you can add the turret kit to the recipe list in robotic workbenchs.
Would be great to build these things late-game.
