Hi, thanks for trying. I followed the advice in link. All my Mod links were removed and restated/updated, as per the suggestion in your link. Still no files for Bariga. The @Bariga folder is empty and I cant get steam to force the download of the required files. Do you have them hosted elsewhere for me to grab manually?

smirnoffkites That's strange. Haven't had this complaint so far. Just did a test-download myself and there was no warning of that kind.So the problem doesn't seem to be on the mods side.

MY steam says Bariga is corrupt and there are no files in the download folder. Any suggestions. I've tried unsubscribe and re subscribe.

Its a good map - if your PC is not high end you may find low FPS in certain areas. I did like the cheeky snowman in the port town though!!

You are welcome! awesome, The map still can do with plenty more buildings so if it is diffucult to replace, I would urge you to make sure any new added buildings are open buildings only, CUP and arma3 should provide enough of those to use without breaking the theme of your terrain. It's just pretty much mod on arma benefits from open buildings.

4. Back then when I startet the terrain I thought about having a base/facility/camp, where the "incident" happened I imagined as a background. Nevertheless this wouldn't be a "hidden secret". But I'll consider, throwing it back in.

Thanks for the constructive feedback, aggroniline.

1. I fixed the problem that a specific type of bushes were bulletproof. (It's the one type that occurs most on bariga ;-) ) They still block AI visuals to a certain degree and there's still a small area in the middle of these bushes that block you from walkting through. (I think it's just realistic that you can't walk just right through a bush. At least the branch should be in your way somehow. You can climp over this section of the bushes though.)

2. I know. I just use the buildigs provided by Arma 3 vanilla and by CUP. It would be a hell lot of work to rework all those buildings. (And it isn't even easy to extract buildings from other mods. Letting alone this beeing a littlebit of shady behaviour imo. So I don't think that I will change this. Sorry.

I love this map and cant wait to see it further develop, I would like to give some feedback which i feel would make it even greater:

1. Bushes fix - is much needed
2. There are a number of buildings used that are not enter-able, I feel this early in the project would be good time to address it, look at Chernarus for example and how many attempts have been made to open as much of those as possible.
3. I feel another small to mid size island near to main land would add that little extra land it needs. Perhaps if you want to make it north and covered in snow! Arma 3 will never have enough maps that have snow!!
4. Secret hidden spots, caves, temples? that maybe little too ambitious , maybe if you wanted a challenge!

keep up the work love the look and feel of a map, it is so spooky!

Yep. When creating your mission go to intel (Ctrl+I) and set the fog to 0, just like on any other terrain.

It's okay, you know how it is. One idiot who doesn't understand how the game works makes a negative statement and the minions follow. Like I said let me know if I can be of any assistance to you. I love how this map is a hybrid of a winter environment without it being an "arctic" map that's totally barren. All of the trees with no leaves and such, while they cost performance, they totally set the mood and are worth the performance in my opinion. I can still get 30-40fps on my meager rig (3ghz i7, 770gtx, 8gb of slow ass ddr3 ram) so I'm sure others can as well. But again if you do make performance related changes, count me in to test, loving this map.

I love this map because it's unique. I just wish others would see it that way as well instead of bitching they don't get 120fps and a Michael Bay movie experience with every Arma mission they play. Keep up the good work man, regardless of what people say.

I can't deal with the illiterate idiots, so I had to take my mission down using this map. I love the map lunatic, and if you do choose to improve the performance when you have time please let me know. I'd like to re-release the mission eventually. But until then I think for both our sakes it's better for me to take it down because this community is full of entitled players who think everything should be perfect all the time. I sent you a friend request in case I can be of assistance going forward. Sorry if my mission brought you unjustified comments from undeserving idiot.

just to let you know... I'm getting into object creation right now. So I hope that I can add a fix for the bushes soon. I also intend to add an addon signature with the next update (thank you, Inspecteur des impôts (Renault) for clearification)

Well done dude, really like your work on this, can't wait to try it with the fixes some of the guys reported, any plans to add more cities? like creepy looking cities perhaps if you add new island icey cold winter and snow would add more to this awesome WIP :D keep it up!

@lunatic A bikey is a signature that allows the server to verify the integrity of the mod (to avoid cheat / scripts from player).

The bushes are strange, they ricochet bullets while shooting near them. Some of them should probably be replaced or have the hitboxes changed.

@Mynock: Thank you for the feedback. Actually it is a flaw that I am not that happy with by myself. Unfortunately it isn't possible to "turn off" collision for certain objects on the terrain. Maybe I will have to replace them with custom made bushes wich just don't have collision boxes. Nevertheless to do so I will have to get into object creation first.
That means that this change might not be done too soon, I'm afraid.

I've made a mission for this map, but unfortunately the AI have a lot of difficulty navigating the terrain due to the "green bushes" (not sure what else to call them) that have collision enabled. They're also bulletproof, which leads to AI pouring fire at enemies they can't actually hit. Is there any possibility this will be addressed in the near future? I'm not confident releasing a mission for this map that requires documentation about how to avoid the AI getting stuck and how to force them to navigate firefights in a landscape filled with bulletproof walls.

thank you for the constructive feedback, toffa52. But... actually... there is a harbor (at barigasmoen).
And the island is definetely to small for (a bunch of?) traffic toll statsions. (there's merely a hand full of concrete streets connecting some villages). I also felt the island was to small to house an airport. By using the carrier that came with the jets dlc missionbuilders have the ability to enable air support anyways (and in a more believable way)

Weird feeling of both being on the coast of Norway alongside the feel of landscape at Dovre, both waiting for an elk and the sreams of seagul at the same time. But yeah, work on itand maybe include a small shitty rural airport (with a shitty Narvesen kiosk), and a small coastal fort, and yeah, it would be a great little map to do some missions on with some Norwegian forces mods. Also a harbor would be great. Not big, but typical small town norwegian fishing hamlet type of style. And dont forget, a bunch of trafic toll stations that can be used for canonfodder ;-)

Just to let you guys know: I'm working on transforming Bariga into an island (getting rid of those infinite stripes on mapborders!) Unfortunately I've got a lot to do at my everyday work at the moment. That's why the progress is so slownly.

This, being played on DUWS-R, is probably one of the best games of ArmA I've ever had. Long, tough firefights over barren terrain. Very good for infantry supported by light armour, keep it up.
