BloodyDove sometimes its affecting a game negatively, the more realistic something is. Imagine in a Shooter that you'd have to go to a hospital for days everytime you got shot. Or take all games where u can carry way more than a human could actually carry.

See sometimes the more realistic games get, it's likewise more negativly impacting the game. And this is the same reason why there are so many Vampire mods. We all played the Vanilla already and now it is basically only enjoyable with mods like these.

Ps: Im not even using this exact mod here, just wanted to make this clear in general.

Are powers reversed?

theres hundreds of types of vampires from folklore and mythology from around the world. With most european vampire myths, vampires definitely do get stronger the longer they go without feeding. They usually become more beastial and/or insane the longer between feeding though, and of course the starving and succeptability to their weaknesses grow in concert.

Skyrim did European vampires right actually.

Vampirism is a curse that forces you to feed on blood. If you feed on blood, the curse lies dormant, allowing you to pass as human/mer. If you do not feed, the curse will drive you to madness and extreme bloodlust, while also growing stronger to force you to feed.

In short, you grow stronger because the curse is forcing you to feed, not because its "backwards".

I was unable to feed off anybody (neither sleeping nor seduced people) which made everybody attack me on sight. Anyone else have this problem?

lorewise it makes since they get stronger, because that blood rage and feral instinct takes over the higher function of the vampire's mind. think of it this was are feral creatures as strong or stronger then the normal versions of? of course they are.

I've found a little bug which implies that you do not have the Embrace of Shadows and Vampire's seduction when you're the strongest, only when you're the weakest.
I do not know if there is a bug in the system or if it was planned in the mod.
I personally do not like it, having the strongest powers when you are weak is a big minus for me. Otherwise it's a wonderful mod that I thought it would be in the original.
To be On Fire and everything else is brilliant. I love your job with this mod but i have to take it down from my mod list. :-(
I do hope that you see this message and can do something about it.

It says this mod was published and last updated in 2012 but is still very unfinished. I guess it won't ever be finished then?

@Dinomite you can use this mod without any dlc I think (don't seem to change anything about the dlc so I think you don't need dawnguard, the picture is probably just to had a related and clear one)

Does this mod makes NPCs hostile when you advance to level 4? I would pretty much apreciate if it happens, because I think it should be easy to detect vampirism in people when it advances so much.

I agree that having vampires grow powerful as they starve just doesn't make sense. It would also imply that those feeding on blood were trying to hide or 'escape' their vampirism, so it didn't follow that vampires were largely sadistic jerks.

if your doing this can you fix the drain life spell because it still only does 2 damage after feeding

frost resistance is not the only upside and if your a nord then its even better and vampires have vampiric drain which takes health from others and gives you health which is awesome and also you have 100% poison resist and 100% disease resistance its harder to be detected you get night eye you can raise the dead and also frost resistance improves on stages!

Hate the feeding thing, i like that the more you don't feed the stronger you become, it makes so you don't have to worry about anything. Only fire mages of course lol.

I like the mod although I think you should switch the stages so that as the player feeds they can obtain vampire's seduction and embrace of shadows. They are for the more powerful vampires, after all.

Just needs the progression of Vampiric Drain and Vampire's Servant switched around, then this would be perfect! :) I like Seduction at stage 2 to help get back to stage one, and i like Embrace of Shadows as a defence power when your strength is weakest.

what about becoming a vampire lord before even getting bite by a regular vampire for the stages to take effect? do u still catch fire in the sun? i know dumb last question lol

@skotie2007 (if you want to skip a ton of lore look at the last sentence). Because werewolves were created by Hircine who wanted them to be his perfect army and most of them didn't become his soldiers. Sad things is though, he really meant in death. When you die you go to the Hunting Grounds instead of Sovngarde (hope I spelled that write). It's a lore side effect in other words.

Question, why do werewolfs seem to have zero side effects (no resting bonus OMG no! lulz!) while vampires seemed to be plagued with them? Weaker in sunlight, constant need to fed (unless you want a mob to kill you), powers( that suck to begin with) that disappear upon feeding, weakness to fire.

the reason you get more powerful and weaker at the same time as vampire is because the lack of mortal blood brings out the blood of the vampire. by nature vampires are weak to the sun and overall become stronger.

The mod is not suposed to change the stages that you get your powers at (as of now at least). Perhaps you should read the description before you post something in the comments section. Besides, I think Vampire's Suduction should reamain a higher stage power anyways as it gives you the oportunity to feed and lower your stage.

This mod doesn't seem to be working. I still lose the Vampire's Seduction power when I feed and get it back after not feeding.

Does feeding bump you up all the way to level 1 or just up 1 level?

And immortality is completely different from Invincibility, any immortal creature can be slain, deadric princes are JUST like that, with a slightly different case of course, the definition of Immortality is, as i probably allready said, Not dying from hunger/thirst, diseases or poisons, or aging...

Vampires are corpses, they do noty need food, neither can they die from poisons or diseases... unless they are magically enhanced of course, and corpses do not age either. Being a a walking corpse, or, undead, is just another form of immortality, end of story.
