What to do if I use Grimly's loot mod, which is need "Mod Everything" ? Is it work with this legacy version so I can disable the "Mod Everything" mod?

So, does this mod actually allow items put on secondary weapons to have an effect (i.e. a stock put on a pistol so i get the guaranteed damage even on a miss?}

I used to really get a kick out of the mod. I booted this game up a couple days ago; it was running the old "ModEverything" which no longer allowed me to mod secondary weapons, or armor for some reason. So, I unsubbed the old one, then subscribed to this one. No change. Secondary weapon, and armor mod slots are not existent. I'm sad :(

If I go from the old "mod everything" to this on one save file ( I save game, restart, turn this on and old version off, return to game) would you expect it to work OK? are there any changes the old version has but this one doesn't? (I am using LW2 and a bunch of other stuff, but conflict has thus far miraculously been avoided, or at least I chalk up the crashes to my machine being way below spec)

Okay, so i was looking through the comments and the description and i couldnt find an answer so im just gonna ask, sorry if the answer is obvious and im just stupid, but adding the attachments to secondary weapons, does it actually add to it's stats? I've had this mod for my last two campaigns i've played and im about to start my third and i'm not sure if it's actually usefull for me.

@Ellros I just had the same problem, did you perhaps just unlock a full continent? My theory is that once continent bonuses come into effect, it triggers needing some of the continent bonuses to do that.

Same issue as GuardianTitan. I was able to mod armor and some others, but then the next day when I loaded the save game, I was only able to attach items to weapons. I then deleted the Documents/Config contents, and loaded the save game, and was able to add attachments to all. next day... unable to. Deleting the Documents/Config contents did not fix the problem the second or further times.

i Hate to bother everyone here cause this may have been asked already. But im having an issue where i can mod only my weapons. play one playthrew with it add a few mods that only changes voices or customization, and now i cant mod My armor or anything else besides the main guns ( i do run grimmys loot and that works fine) but im getting weapon and armor mods i cant use ( attachments)

The answer is simple, It is not compatible with WotC like 90% of the mods in the workshop. You will need to wait till i release an updated version.

yerp. I am trying to trouble shoot this, but I do not have a solid lead on it. I am literally opening the game and playing through until it crashes with the mods I have loaded on.

I am having issues, I can load the game and play around with the charicter editor, I can even run the first mission in tutorial. After that, my game will crash. After the cut scene for the talk with Central. Anyone know anything about this? I have the XCOM Limb mod, and some of the others that go with it. I also have the camo mod and the colors mods.

Was the bug spoken of before only causing grenade launchers and armor not to have upgrade slots because I don't have slots for those. I'm currently not using LW2 due to anticipation of WOTC

@musashi and i fixed it. There was a conflict with another mod. Sadly i'm unable to determinate witch one was it since i randomly picked up a bunch and deleted/Unsubsribe them. BUT i can tell that it was one that gived cosmetics looks

to clarify utility slots = utilty items, and by upgrades for them i mean that you may add attachments to them.

i showed the changes as i hoped to find why there is greed out "upgrade equipment" option on soldier with bolt caster and Sparks.

will try the solution you provided and will post what i have encountered

Try to delete you local config files in C:\Users\<Your Username>\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config. Most mod problems a caused by remnants of old mods in the config files.
Moddable DLC Weapons work for others so it should work for you too.
What does "don't have utility slot upgrades" mean? This mod just makes it possible to add attachments so other mods can provide them lile grimys loot mod. I does not give slots nore does it add any attachment items.
Of course is the code different cause i added utility slot support and added controller support. I don't know how showing me changes in the code i wrote myself should help me in any way.

And for the record using "Moddable DLC Weapons" dont fix the problem for Reloaded. as it dont have to be used on Mod Everything

I have started to check what diferences are in the old and current mod.
One give error with DLC weapons (mainly bolt caster and Sparks), second dont have utility slots upgrades. I'm no It expert but i have some knowlage how writing a code works.
ATM i wanted to investige if i can add/ change a line to "fix" one or another.
aside the "allow utility slots true" in config ini file

what i found from the diferences in Classes folder:
SL_UIAvengerHud are the same

UIArmory_EquipmentSelect from Reloaded have
simulated function array<XComGameState_Item> GetAllEquippedItem(EInventorySlot eSlot)
}
return GetUnit().GetAllItemsInSlot(eSlot, CheckGameState);
}
and "default.ALLOW_UTILITY" lines

UISL_Armory_MainMenu are completly diferent

in UISL_Armory_WeaponUpgrade
event OnReceiveFocus(UIScreen Screen) are diferent

I dont know If that helps with anything. But imo it was worth the try

Think I've only needed to adjust the ordering on 3 or 4 mods. I admit, automatic re-numbering would be great (and why do a number of mods all have the same index?) but for just getting those one or two mods loading late it's fine.

You literally don't need to. I've never encountered 1 bug with the launcher in 12 months of using it with 500 mods with vanilla and 400 with LW2.. So you're doing something wrong..

Yes I have the mod manager but it 1) has too many bugs, 2) is annoying trying to click on every single entry and keep count at the same time of what number you are on...

It should work like the Skyrim or fallout mod manager... pick up an entry and move it where you want and it auto renumbers...
