This Mod is being rebuilt file by file. So far only the flat market and background globals have been rebuilt. At this stage it will play like vanilla plus a flat market. Nothing else, sorry. The rebuild is a work in progress.

Hello modders i created also a private mod, were i wanted to add a new unit to it, swedisch 17jhd musketeer, i followed this guide: http://www.cossacks3.com/forum/index.php?threads/guide-adding-new-units-wip.19076/

the problem i got now is all seems to work, even the new icon, but then i select it in editor, it just spawns nothing, same to barracks, when i build it, it shows all at least even process (time) but when its finished, nothing spawns..... probably you can help me as veterans into this :D

This mod is currently not updated after the last two patches. That's why it is broken. I will be looking at this over the next few weeks or so. Recent patches might have improved the game performance enough for this mod to be played in the manner intended. The manner intended is to support very large armies using relatively realistic tactics. The main problem in the past has been temporary client "de-synch lag" in large battles. I am not hopeful that this is really repaired but I will update and test it.

To answer both questions below. Sweden perhaps should be stronger in the early game. I will look at that. New units are still down the list on my list of priorities. I want to get musket fire more
realistic first.

I will do some tests on melee only. I think if attack is disabled this disables musket attack and means melee only occurs if you order it. This is sort of like "melee only" but it is clumsy. I will look into it but I cannot make any promises for action on it soon.

Balance is very importent i know, but i think its a good idea to give Sweden elite units, foot lifeguard and horse lifeguards in darkblue and yellow colors, high gold cost.
And new options, no archers, no dragoon.

I try to keep nations balanced so that they all have winning chances in the hands of a good player. This does not mean they are all exactly the same. Each nation will have strengths and weaknesses. Where is Sweden too weak in your opinion? Give me some suggestions and I will look at Sweden's balance. Thanks for taking an interest in the mod and its balance. :)

The idea of the lower exchange rate in the market is to ensure that gathering each resource directly is the most efficient way to run the economy. Tech prices for the economy (and military) are lowered to help this appoach work. Trading still has a role in the game. I still trade quite a lot through my games. But reverse trades do not work of course. There is also a much greater need to upgrade the mines. I upgrade my gold mines all the way to 100 men each in a long game. I will sometimes upgrade one iron mine to 100 men. In the late game I sell food for extra gold, wood for extra coal and stone for extra iron. In a 5,000s 10 PT start I sell 4,000 iron for stone and 5,000 coal for wood. This helps get a third town centre and the academy very quickly.

It changes lots of things. I like the part that decreases techs' prices, but the lower change rate in market seems unacceptable to me...

You are right human oppnents are much more intersting to play but I dont have enought time to find and play game with human players unfortunately.

The AI is a long discussion so I will start a discussion in the discussion thread. Also, what time zone do you live in? Maybe we could try to get you into some of our multiplayer games online. Human opponents are much more interesting to play than the AI. :) Don't forget to look at the AI Discussion Thread.

It likely is something changed in a vanilla file used in every mod you use. This change would have to be brought across to the mods (merged) or it causes the vary bug we see.

OCMOD3 is working again. It has a few bugs but no show-stoppers that I can see. Please see change notes.

This is the first update after a break in service and it will take a few weeks to test and de-bug it properly. Post any issues you find. As I said below, apologies for the break in service but there was no internet where I went on extended holidays (Outback and Northern Australia). Plenty of crocodiles though. :)

Announcement: I have been away on extended holiday in remote regions with little or no internet. I have now returned. This mod will be updated soon. It may take me a few days to a week to get my systems up again and fix the mod. But rest assured, OCMOD3 will return updated and running better than ever.

I am sorry for this break in service. Next time (if this happens again) I hope to put better backup procedures in place for updates when I am away from home base,

Tried playing multiplayer with this against an AI, friend keeps freezing and getting "Access violation" error popup which kills the game. What's the dealio? Had no issues in vanilla.
