Yep I moved on to making my own textures now, rather than just assembling existing items into factions

Thanks :) So far the plan is to do some RHS stuff to compliment the GM things, So just some headgear and a few vests, and then eventualy vehicles when I get to the factions part.

Ah okay.

Your retextures skills are magnificent i must say. I wonder if your retexture plans expands from GM to other contents like CUP or RHS or just simply sticking to GM assets?

No, no plans to update this all my work is going into my retexture mod and the factions I'll eventually build from that

It was so all the load outs had ACE medical equipment and explosives stuff

Becuase of a change of modpack for the 345th group and they were dependant on some mods we are no longer using. I'll make new better versions in the future

-Pan-Baltic Socialist State -ReWork Compleated but has some bugs with RHS Russians apearing as commanders in some vehicles, Havent yet figured out how to fix this

All other factions will be reworked at a later date

So I suggest if you want to continue to use these old versions in the meantime. you should back them up ASAP and reupload them onto steam if you wish.
As the update will be happening in a few days, if you miss that I should be able to upload the files to my google drive for a time so you can get them there if people request it.

Just as a heads up to anyone outside the 345th using this mod, the factions that are dependant on Yue Mod and FoxFort Camo pack are to be removed and reworked due to a modpack change in the 345th Unit.

So the following will be removed, and will be replaced in the future, although class names will be different so your missions that you have made with them will be broken I'm sorry :(
I've got RSI and not as much time as I had in the past so I'm trying to remake the factions as quickly as I can
Also with the reworks I intend them to be more fully fledged than their previous versions, with all vehicles containing the correct ammo/weapons for their faction ect

Just had a proper look and right now the following are missing some things

Free Quarian Army - One or two guys missing vests
Quarian Armed Forced - NDF National Defence Force guys are all missing vests but the main Army guys are ok
Rayaki Shia Militia - large portion of them are missing vests
Altis National Guard - Reservists are missing vests but main army are ok

Or just use it as is. One thing I will say is that I change this mod quite regurlaly like when we change campaign. Things will be removed and added. So I'd recomend using somthing else. As this mod is mainly jsut for the 345th ..... but its up to you really

Permission to model my unit after the Red Dawn featured in the unit? (Also some of the Red Dawn have missing weapons even though I have NIA AK and all of the required mods...)

Figured out how to create a faction (and have done so), and I owe thanks to you. Only thing I don't know is how to release the mod on Steam. :/ Do I need the Arma 3 tools?

Basicly it is an interface that you use to generate config files to make a mod

You have to export the faction and the cfg patches to config files inside of a mod folder, which you then need to make into a .pbo Heres a link to the Wiki http://alivemod.com/wiki/index.php/Generate_Config where you can find the download for the template config file where you paste the exported stuff into

Got that part working, but how do I save edits to factions? I'm doing something special with NATO, and even though I changed their units, it didn't save them. What do I do to save the edited units and be able to use them across different modes (singleplayer and BECTI, for instance)?

I'm making an update to the mod so it works with my units new campaign so I will be removing the Chechen Rebels faction as its not needed

yep just place the ORBAT module and a unit and then play in singleplayer and the interface will load up

Heres a link to their wiki page http://alivemod.com/wiki/index.php/Faction_Editor It has a few limitations though, I've noticed if you select a different vehicle skin it dosnt carry it over when you export the config file. so you have to add it manualy

I use the ALiVE mod because I'm lazy but in there you could select the CSAT faction and edit the loadouts and have it spit out the relevent config for it

Theres a module you can place down in @ALiVE in the editor that brings up an interface for creating factions and shows any existing ones in game

Hey, Stella, how do you make faction mods? Or, more specifically, how could I remake the CSAT with custom loadouts? I know how to make the classes, but not how to replace existing templates.

I'm changing a few things with the mod, there will be three new requirements.

As this pack mainly just to make things easier for the missions i make for the 345th VDV group, I'll be making a seperate mod for individual factions if anyone wants them.

Thanks, yeh thats true I think I've figured out the inventory thing now, well I've got the right code for it anyways just gonna slot it in, and hope its not as finiky as the decals stuff :)

Works pretty well. Really like the camo. Also for the vehicle inventory, Anyone who uses them in the editor can easly edit the cargo content off the trucks in the object attributes. so i wouldn't worry to much about it

Hiya, yeh basicly It's just a quick thing I made using the ALiVE ORBAT module, for the group I play with.

I'll throw up a few pictures of the units. Also its not entirely finished at the moment, as I still have a few issues with changing vehicle Decals and setting their cargo inventories
