Man, you are a f* genius !

the heli works well but some times the hoist doensnt go down and sometimes the water tank wont detach
Soviet_Gymnist 3 Sep, 2017 @ 9:54am
Happens on the real cranes too some times. Might just be a bug with the game tho.
Big Mathis  [author] 3 Sep, 2017 @ 9:48am
That is a problem with this helicopter and I have absolutely no idea why.
Soviet_Gymnist 3 Sep, 2017 @ 9:31am
Yeah, some blades will dive, or fly. like for example you are in a set hover 50 ft off the ground. The track looks great bvut as soon as you put it in forward flight the blade(s) Go up or down out of allinment.

There's a word for a rotor blade that doesn't respond to inputs?
Soviet_Gymnist 2 Sep, 2017 @ 3:05pm
Hmm, other then the one blade being a flyer, they are pretty close to real. I cant tell if they are an F model or an A or B model (F model is an updated version the erickson has modified from a B model i think. but anyway. They fit the bill pretty solidly. Just fix the rotor head and you should be golden. Oh and there is a tail skid on the fire tank model that is fixed. while on the military version it was hydrolic and could be lifted to give room for the cargo container.

Is there anything about the skycrane you think could be more realistic? Any of the mechanics?
Soviet_Gymnist 2 Sep, 2017 @ 2:53pm
Yes Sir, Just flying the crane now actually
Big Mathis  [author] 2 Sep, 2017 @ 2:49pm
Have you tried all of them?
Soviet_Gymnist 2 Sep, 2017 @ 12:31pm
well so far they are all super awesome keep up the good work
Big Mathis  [author] 2 Sep, 2017 @ 12:30pm
It's the new one. The tandem rotor.

Yes, I will make it my next project to install the new rotor system. I put a great deal of effort into upgrading my helicopters. Especially, the chinook has gone through numerous iterations before arriving at its current state.
Soviet_Gymnist 2 Sep, 2017 @ 12:23pm
I think you should impletment the new rotor system, and see how it preforms compared to the old one.
Soviet_Gymnist 2 Sep, 2017 @ 11:58am
I may ive got them all downloaded, which ones that that? ill have to double check and let you know.
Big Mathis  [author] 2 Sep, 2017 @ 11:50am
It's actually not supposed to vibrate like it does but there seems to be a problem where one of the main rotor blades doesn't respond to the collective. I have no idea what causes it so I have been unable to correct it. I have thought about installing a new rotor system design that I've used on my ATRH. You should check that out btw.
Soviet_Gymnist 2 Sep, 2017 @ 4:09am
Yeah! you did an awesome job! and yes they fly like a giant vibrator.
Big Mathis  [author] 1 Sep, 2017 @ 11:35pm
That's great, mate :)
Soviet_Gymnist 1 Sep, 2017 @ 4:00pm
Hey I work on these!
LightningwingDragon 29 Mar, 2017 @ 5:05pm
cool as always
Reepicheep 29 Mar, 2017 @ 4:41pm
Ah, but there's no way to use fuel.

The comment about unlimited water was simple satire towards Besiege.
Big Mathis  [author] 29 Mar, 2017 @ 2:13pm
Unlimited fuel isn't realistic either.... What's your point?
Reepicheep 29 Mar, 2017 @ 1:37pm
I had a hard time staying upright and keeping my altitude, but I think that's user error rather than machine malfunction. Fantasic job on the mechanics of the helicopter and getting everything balanced, although an unlimited water tank isn't really realistic....

Any landing gear will break if you land too hard. But I'll see if I can make it stronger
Ross P. 27 Mar, 2017 @ 11:48pm
It did the first couple of times I landed, even though the landings looked gentle to me. Although I was playing at 50% speed, so the landings might have been harder than they appeared. Maybe if I practiced with it, I would do a better job at getting clean landings, but that was my first impression. I've found that breaking landing gear is a common failure point on a lot of aircraft.
Big Mathis  [author] 27 Mar, 2017 @ 11:27pm
Did the landing gear break?
Ross P. 27 Mar, 2017 @ 5:17pm
I don't think I've seen anybody else try to make a single rotor helicopter, and this one is surprisingly stable! The landing gear is a bit weak, which makes landing difficult, but after a few tries I got a perfect landing too. 🙂
