Hey I got a lil request for a sight mod on the Kar98. I asked a couple people and they have the same annoyance. The front sight is a little bulbus and the sight picture doesn't allow for much visibility. I drafted what I was thinking here http://imgur.com/a/WUE0y (top left is original).

The gun's a precision rifle and when you're sighting in a target the littlest thing can throw your shot off cuz that sight gets 10x bigger being the only thing you're focused on. In a way I'm basically asking for G43 sights but not with the long line front blade (its not as focused on the point of impact). The DoD Kar sights came to a triangle wich was super precise. Either that or the top right one would be what I'm after. If I could get your expertise to help me out with this I would be really greatful.

Thank you so much for updating this. It's a shame I've already grinded out the 800 kills / 200 headshots with the hooded default, but now I can once again truly love the k98.

@Narkenstein3D most Russian captured Kar98k's today don't have sight hoods on them as the Russians took them off for scrap metal.

I went to a WW2 history event last summer and I got to hold a Kar98 that didn't have the hood either. 10/10 Realism

This should be an attachment in game tbh. supposedly some soldiers did make this field modification.

Can you also take the Hood Sight off of the Lee Enfield please?

Love this and your other ironsight mods. Might it be possible to switch out the iron sights for the M1 Carbine and Thompson? The smaller, simpler sights were actually more common during WWII.

Hahaha! Yes! It's back! The hood sites in vanilla were way too intrusive.
