For me, the mod hasn't worked for sme time : it remains stuck on the original buildings and units, whatever the civilizations. What manipulation could I do ?

There is a Super bug, that makes the AI train a lot of Monks, this happens only with civs that use regional monks (Middle eastern and Asian). I do'nt know how to solve this bug. Regional monks i'ts a really complicated matter. I suggest remove this from this mod.

Maybe the AI trains the monks because it can't detect there has just create a monk. The new monks have different ID to standard.

Are you doing IA for AOE2 DE? Honestly, your mods is what really kept me playing over the years... I really hope you make a version of this great mod for DE

Hey, quick question... Sort of...

I'm having problems getting this and {LINK REMOVED} to work. I select the dataset in the menu for standard game and it loads instantly. It used to take forever.

In game with this and (link above) I still get vanilla architecture. In the other mod (link above) I get the units but not the buildings.

Any help would be great. Cheers guys.

I believe it's intentional. Okmar moved away from continuing working on IA for HD and removed the Non-Unit mod as a result. He also tried to take down the IU version though a DMCA takedown, but that fell through.

I've been working on updating this mod to 5.8 using Okmar's 5.8 version as a reference (I can't directly upload his old 5.8 version, since if he does try to claim it, it will likely go through and I'll risk getting my entire workshop submissions banned). Hopefully I'll have it ready by the weekend.

Just a heads-up, Independent Architecture 5.8 is no longer in the workshop, was that intentional or did steam just take it down?

Anyone else unable to use this mod (and the one for the Original Datasets) in the campaigns? They do load for me in Random Map, but when I exit to main menu I don't get the changed banner. And when I start a campaign map architecture is still vanilla.

"For loading any saved games using Independent Architecture, including Skirmish Games against the AI, you need to "Pre-load" Independent Architecture first before loading the same game using the same method above or else AoE2 will crash!"

How do I pre-load IA correctly? I've activated IA in the skirmish game menu and then loaded the save game again, but the game just quits like before pre-loading.

Did I do something wrong? How do I "pre-load"?
Very frustrating.

@Rakdar @< blank > It's a DAT mod so it doesn't need to be enabled/disabled and those ones appear blue all the time. It just means that, to activate it, you need to start a skirmish match and select this as your Dataset at the top right dropdown menu on the screen, play the game, and if it changes the graphics of your buildings, it means that it works (make sure that this mod is lower priority than the architecture mods you've subbed on the workshop).

Do you plan on separating the remaining civs? Abejin has a concept for an unique Ethiopian architecture set but there's no way of implementing it as a separate architecture set right now.

Well Saint_Michaels_. I wonder if you know it but patch 5.8 is in open beta mode. While I do believe that you, when the patch enter Live mode, will update THIS mod to work with the new patch, as usually, I am worried that you may NOT are going to do it with that version of this mod that includes regional units. I hope you will. It has taken me LONG time to cover all of the units and use bits and pieces, which I have NO intentions of publicating by the way, to make it perfect. I do hope that all that time has not been wasted just because a new patch came and the mod was not popular enough to be updated.

I'm sorry. I was just waiting for a response. Resubscribing helps. Once. I can play one session, then the next session will crash after a short while. Before restarting the game, I need to unsub and resub.

It's just a great mod and I've been anticipating it a long time and this one tiny issue practically makes all the IA mods useless.

I don't know okay. I'm dealing with a thousand things right now and my life has gone to complete shit.

The only thing I can say is so try to resubscribe to the mod. If that doesn't work, then I'll get around looking at it when people actually cut me some slack for once.

I'm really not sure why some standard (Non-IA) mods are not working as intended for you (As in only affecting the partcular civilizations not affected by IA). On my end it seems to be working fine....

@Sam Bien - I'll consider it once I get around working on IA again. I'm pretty busy at the moment.

As an addendum to my previous line of questioning, not all archtiecture mods seem to work presumably because they aren't IA-compatible (Again, this issue is not present in the Original IA Dataset) although I have noticed that the Central European TC and Mill are affected by julianbaba4's Gothic Architecture mod, as is the New Indian architecture mod.

@Saint_Michaels_ I did, even going so far as to push it all the way to the bottom of the list, but I've encountered the same issue, though again, it only occurs in this Dataset, but not in the Original IA Dataset.

Usually when HD crashes when trying to load Independent Architecture, it's because the Workshop downloads it incorrectly and / or it becomes corrputed. Try re-subscribing to the mod and hopefully that should fix it.

I noticed two days ago from this post that, when I used this mod to change the graphics of my civs, it seems to have problems changing the graphics of some of them.

For instance, it can't seem to change the Goths' and Japanese architecture to julianbaba4's Architecture mods, instead using their default architecture sets.

Another, probably minor example, is when I used the Terracotta Army Wonder replacement for the Chinese but it used the Temple of Heaven Wonder graphic instead.

Curiously, when I loaded the Original Dataset mod instead, those architecture mods worked excellently (e. g. The Terracotta Army Wonder replacement appears in the Original IA Dataset, but not in the 5.7 IA Dataset, same for julianbaba4's architecture mods)

Not sure where I should have asked his question, but seeing as this discrepancy occured between this and the Original, I guess this would be the best place to ask this question. Any answers would be appreciated.
