@Cuso That's because it's classified as a melee unit. The description here is just wrong.

I think the Hidalgo is missing the ranged attack animations, it uses the same as the meele one (charging against the enemy)

Do I need the new expansion for this to work? If I have any of your leader mods in it just crashes and boots me to the menu screen when I try to load or start a new game.

I dissubscribed this mod because the leader doesn't fit in the Civ 6 athmosphere in graphi design. Many other leaders does. Why not this?

Isabella was historically a gorgeous woman, why does she look like a mongoloid?

It could be great a leader pack with leaders from the whole history of Spain, I would be pleased of offering my help doing it.

I once played against Isabella, and to my surprise, her default religion, unlike Philip II, isn't Christianity or Catholicism. Can that be fixed?

it's not cqui, i "disabled" cqui by removing all of its files (except the modinfo file) and, loading the same game, missionaries and apostles still don't show up on the regular faith purchase panel

this seems to have a problem with either cqui or hotseat mode - the second player can't buy missionaries or apostles. if playing in single-player without cqui, it works, so i'm not sure which is the culprit

I played with Isabel and I suggest you a change. The Spanish word for Horseman is Jinete, not Jinetes (that would be like Horsemen), but the Spanish Civ VI translation already uses Jinete for vanilla Horseman.

In medieval Spain, there was a name for noble Knights: Hidalgo. Cervantes' Don Quijote is one of them, in fact. I think that would be a nice replacement for Knights.

@Amatheria well, Victoria isn't either as it is portrayed or Cleopatra... we must bear in mind portraits usually make the ones painted uglier so all leaders look frankly quite ugly in their portraits. It's also true that Civ representations are also too pretty. I've nothing against the picture, I'd prefer the pretty Isabella as with all other leaders (again, Victoria was very ugly, look for one of those portraits or photos in her case!), but the picture is not really that relevant in the game honestly.

I'm Spaniard. In fact, the real Isabel is the one portrayed here. The fabulous (but not real) Isabel from previous Civs are beautiful, but not even accurate. Just search "Isabel la Catolica" in Google Images and you will see the truth.

Ok, for everyone saying it's a 'horrible picture', it's supposed to look fake and cartoonish, just like the rest of the Civ 6 leaders. It's for a more familiar feel and a better flow than actual historical portraits.
