greeting Loki
Like I'm still in early stage of the game and thought about taming a Therizino but I won't be able to do that unless I gather lots of narcoberries or I should start farming narcoberries, which needs fertilizer, fertilizer needs dung beetle etc. So with this I could skip that and be able to tame Therizino early.
it would be great if it also reduces torpor but tailored to each creature according to dododex narcotic usage, but that would need research about the formula for each creature and level, but in the end would be a perfect mod which Wildcard should consider putting it in the game because it can make taming faster without messing with the food taming efficiency and narcotic use. It's perfect like that.
I used 0.5, 2, 5, 10, 15.
They all reduce ~25%, no change.
I am trying to make it knock off only a small amount of food in the oder of 5 - 10% however I can put 10, 5, 2, 0.02, it doesn't matter, it always removes about 25% of the food from the dino regardless of the setting.
I have not tried large value to take of 50% or more, just thought I'd mention what I'm seeing.
Is there the possibility for a pill that takes off a fixed amount?
If one considers currently one pill can be used on either a dodo or a bronto its "strange" to a point.
I understand the danger of a fixed amount but that could be part of the 'fun' in using it, you have to use it wisely. Then for a small critter we might need 1 or 2, a medium maybe 5 - 10 and a bronto in the order of 10 - 20.
Please Note: The % values have changed in the format they are entered in. Now just simply add the % reduction per tick.
EXAMPLE: Starting food stat is 100. ReduceFoodPerSecond=10. This means reduce 10% in the first tick = 90, 10% in the next tick = 81 and so on. The % is calculated from the dinos current food stat not its max. This way the lower it gets the less effective these become to reduce over feeding and hitting 0 and messing up your tame.
The hunger generator will now set the dino's food stat to 100 until I can fix this funky new reference mechanic that Wildcard has implemented.
It's not a perfect solution but it conceptually works again. Additionally as a "sorry" I have added some torpor and healing to it as well.
You MUST pick up and egg and escape the pit with it and hatch your own on MOST servers. :)
Hope that helps.~
instead of lowering tame times globally but it needs to be balanced. Instant tame of any creature for the cost of 10 berries and a spoiled meat is not balanced or immersive. Or is there something I am doing wrong? Please any help would be appreciated I really do want to use your mod for its intended purpose.
