@Floh Well, the Chieftian is about 20 years senior to the M1A1, uses a *rifled* 120mm cannon than a smoothbore cannon in the M1A1, is 20 tons lighter, uses Horstmann bogie suspension versus torsion bars as the Abrams has, and has a Leyland L60 multifuel engine, versus the GE ATG1500 turbine multifuel engine.

By the way, the Leyland L60 gives about 650hp, and the ATG1500 has 1500hp. The L60 was pretty much one of the worst tank engines made.

Actually, I did look back, and it turns out we were both wrong.

It was actually British Chieftian Mk. 10, painted to resemble an M1 Abrams.

The turret modification was not done for the sake of the movie. The bulked-up armor is the Stillbrew composite armor package. Fitting it to a Mk. 5 Chieftian made it a Mk. 10.

And that's pretty cool!
