This mod is still working at 2021, you'll just have to ignore compatibility.

Hello. I don't own gathering storm and have no plans of playing civ in the near future, so there won't be an update. The source code should be posted on civfanatics in case someone else wants to update my mods and repost them (if you do, you can link the updated versions here).

Civilian units normally get more expensive the more of them you have already built. This mod disables that.

Sorry about that. I lost the original files for the mod, so I made a new one with the Guru added. I completely forgot this would cause problems with the Mod-ID. New Version with the old ID should be uploaded now, thanks to Theaitetos for posing the old ID!

To fix it, go to your Steam folder:
→ …/SteamLibrary/SteamApps/workshop/content/289070/899731651
and edit the file
→ Constant Civilian Unit Cost.modinfo
by replacing the new Mod id
→ Mod id="6be44c52-2d5d-40df-bf73-c73447f49b61"
with the old Mod id
→ Mod id="08ba7d02-8d8e-4138-bf9f-74dc27df5d2e"

Have you canged the mod ID? It is the first entry in the modinfo file.
Please give us the ID of the previous version, then we can replace it and finish our games.

I would say that we really don't need any scaling at all for these units. Spamming purchase isn't really that problematic when it comes to builders and traders, and I don't think you can rushbuy spies anyway.

Just a thought. Add scaling based on Era, not number, to encourage building rather than spam purchase.

Yes, if I ever continued working on that mod, faith maintenence for religious units would make sense. However, I pretty quickly learned that I can't do what I want to do with that mod, at least not without better tools.

I was just curious. Another one of your mods gave me an idea, about what if religion wasn't balanced based on charges but on how much faith you generated, and how many units you could have spreading faith, for example.

I don't think religious units cost gold maintenence in the first place. It would probably be possible to add faith maintenance, but I have no idea how I would implement that or why.

Yes, it would be possible to add settlers, but I will not do it. The scaling costs for settlers are pretty much the only thing stopping you from spamming the entire map with cities in civ6, so I kept their scaling. It would probably be better to have some other mechanism for that, but for now I don't have one.

would it be possible to add settlers to the list? its basically impossible to have more than like 8 cities on a standard game even with a huge map
