@Mad_Man_Steve ya, i love the ship while playing as barbaric despoilers and what not but i noticed even with tier 5 thrusters + afterburners they still seem slower than the ones the marauders use, which use tier 3 i think, and just slow in general

Please do. I want to live out my pirate fantasy. I want to make a corsair fleet and go plunder enemy planets. Just make it NSC2 compatible if you can.

The thought never really crossed my mind as I had my own pirate ship mod to play around with, but I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up doing something like that as I noticed the longer I do this the more I want to simplify it and make it more efficient as I go.

You ever gonna make a mod for all the other pirate ships? The asteroid cruiser, destroyer and corvette? I believe pirate ship expanded mod did it but they haven't updated in years lol.

@OblivionSK Had a quick look in the game files, did you happen to be killing Mauruader Galleons by chance at the time?

Went and took it for a test drive and I'm pretty sure I found the issue, I'm willing to bet when the devs made the pirates into their mauruader empires they updated the code for the galleon and changed its name or something in the code so that would explain why it would not give you the technology for destroying one. As this mod gives it to you based on the "name"of the ship you destroyed so if that is different now it won't work. As I also did some cheating and declaring war on myself i was able to get the tech from destroying A BD galleon which means I just need to update that part of the mod about those non BD Galleons.

I also loaded into a non-ironman single player game and put the research all tech command and I could design the ship.

Hey I am having an issue with the mod, I can see the galleon capacity in my naval capacity menu but I killed 4 galleons and did not get the tech in my researched list and cannot make one in the ship designer. Haven't seen it in the research pool either. Was wondering if you could give any advice.

Sorry about the issue, I forgot to apply the changes to a file and updating mods through the old launcher has been disabled so I have to use the new one now, but luckily it works better then the last time I used it.

If this is not the case I'd try verifying the integrity of the game files, delete the mods_registry.json file and resubscribe. As far as I can tell currently the mod is functional but the new launcher is still causing trouble for a lot of people.

try it see iff you can give it 4sections front section the bow whil be super weapon x2iff you can 4large and 4mediums and 4 defender slots
second is again 4for special missile slot and same rest of first section
second middle section whill be winged whit defender slots 8 each and the back off the ship pure artilery slots

Oh that, The Original that the Developers made only had one giant section when they added it in and the buildable version is based off that original, so that's why it only has the one section currently.

Also if I'm reading the second part correctly you would like to have a new section template added? I can't really mod on that level yet(with confidence) to make that sort of change but there is another way if I'm not mistaken.

hmm qstion this is a battle ship class right than why only 1Section why not 4Sections
give 1 center section 8slight fighterbay and 8 p-slots for defensive turrets in 1section looks a bit overpowerd but this ships is alrdy OP iff i am correctly normaly the AI always cheat no matter what game
nose section 2x slots and 2huge torp/cruisemissile slots and some large medium slots that goes whit it and back section also only large and mediums and 4slots of long ranged missiles

Sorry it didn't work out for you but at least now we know so thanks for informing me. Yep Galleons are counted as Titian class ships and being able to build more then one is intentional. I currently have the starting limit at 2 and the end limit set at 10.

i asked as as by now i have installed the mod after getting the boarded Galle0on and hoped i could refit it. Sadly that didn't work so i just built 2 new once. Aren't the galleons coutned as Titan class ships? So being able to build more then one is that wanted?

I can't say for certain as that idea never occurred to me, I've always either kept the Boarded Galleon as is or just destroyed it to collect the technology earlier.
