@TattleTale do you have any plans to fix this mod by uploading the assets somewhere besides the google site, which is now broken?

Good luck D:

I have a backup of some things, not on hand all sadly, should have been more thorough in scraping the assets, i'll have a look around my old drives..
Emily Mewens 4 Jul, 2023 @ 2:53am
You have a back up dont you?
Cebi 3 Jul, 2023 @ 12:49pm
Looks like the google drive files for this have died. RIP.

Tried to use it on a custom D&D miniature and it got busted. And considering no one is maintaining these tools, I am sad to let it go.

@RC3117 and @TooBard
I know this is late, however, where the bar stops is entirely based on the models collider. If youre having issues with that, try adjusting the collider or making a new one. (if you make a new one, i highly recommend making a coin base with a thin pole up the middle. This will make placing it a lot easier, but also make it so the bar hits the pole instead of falling to the base)

Is there no way to move the health bar downwards?
otaku43ver 7 Nov, 2020 @ 11:41pm
so how exactly do you use the blindfold?
RC3117 24 Jul, 2020 @ 7:05pm
Does this mod only work with TTS models? I can't seem to get it to work with my custom models.
raultiberiu 15 Jun, 2020 @ 1:52pm
I am using a 3D miniature, static, and the bar does not stay on top of their head, but falls to their feet. How do I prevent and/or modify that?
Plothos 25 Apr, 2020 @ 7:18pm
I love this, but can’t seem to get bars laying flat on a token. Is it possible? The code is currently beyond me.

Loving Bar Keep for use in Hero Quest! I'm in VR, and find it difficult to interact with the bars and set them properly. Once I've finally got them selected, I can interact with the buttons, but there are no tooltips and it's difficult to tell exactly what my edits are doing. Is there a way to get visible tool tips for editing the bars in VR?
Frankie Fire 8 Apr, 2020 @ 3:12am
Hi there! First of all: I love your mods and the effort put in to them. Now I try to keep it short:
I tried adding a health bar to custom tokens, edited the corresponding spot in the script, so Bar Keep recognises them, and the health bar indeed does show, but the edit button does not. Is there a way I can fix this in the script?
Any help is appreciated!
Shadowdragon 3 Apr, 2019 @ 2:00pm
Is there a way to get the hp numbers to show permanently instead of only when you mouse over the bar?
myrkul999 21 Oct, 2018 @ 6:46am
Hey, I discoveed the cause of the health bars on the table and other objects. The onCollisionEnter() is firing when it lands on the table at load. This will also happen if you move it. Adding a check to see if it's the one moving will fix it.

if self.resting then
<rest of function>
end

I love this mod. It looks great, but my issue is that it wont show health bar buttons on some models, and I have to lock down others just to put a health bar on them. Could you possibly fix this?
Mr.Shield 20 Aug, 2018 @ 7:12am
It seems to have fixed itself and i can't recreate the problem. Thanks for the reply though.
TattleTale  [author] 17 Aug, 2018 @ 11:42pm
Mr.Shield, let me know when I might join your session. We should be able to fix that.
Mr.Shield 17 Aug, 2018 @ 9:05pm
I seem to have a giant health bar floating on my table and i can't seem to get rid of it. Help?
Dedith 7 Aug, 2018 @ 5:36am
ok, found the 'button' to enable the editing buttons, which lead me to the button to move the bar.. hard to do inside the model, but possible. not sure why some are not recognizing the model height.
Dedith 7 Aug, 2018 @ 5:28am
And yes, I tried both custom models and your models. Some of the custom models don't place right, others do. All of your models place the bar right. None of the bars let me edit them though.
Dedith 7 Aug, 2018 @ 5:27am
I'm running into two issues. I loaded up this 'game' to toy with this and I can add the bar to most figures. Some, the bar is not placing right. I bet that's something to do with how the model was made or not. I don't know if you can help with that. The other issue is that I cannot edit the health bars at all. The buttons from the video above do not show. It says v.170421a when I hover over the bar keep pad.
TattleTale  [author] 26 Jul, 2018 @ 9:03am
GrumpySloth, I fired up the Mod as it is on the Workshop and the Hex/Sqs worked fine. Let's start a session, I'll join you and we can sort this out. Send me a message or alert me here.
Apaxur 26 Jul, 2018 @ 3:48am
I'm really liking this mod. I especially like the grid maker because it saves me the time of adding grids to my maps. However, I'm having issues with the grid maker all of a sudden. It no longer works, and I've tried putting it into a bag and retrieving it again - no change. I've also tried restarting the game, single player and multiplayer, different tables and different boards, etc., with no luck.

Sometimes it'll give this error:

Error in Script (FlipMe - 8c7c34) function <onDestroy>:
chunk_1:(35,43-45): attempt to index a nil value

Do you have any idea what's wrong?
Sir_Charles 27 May, 2018 @ 12:22pm
@TattleTale. Great workshop and great idea. I was wondering if is possible to to rotate the health bar on its x axis?

Thanks for help
nespc 16 May, 2018 @ 3:16am
i cant seem to add the health bar to non rpg things. mabe a future update?
saizai 25 Mar, 2018 @ 6:42pm
Also, +1 for condition tracker. E.g. it'd be nice if I could put the icon for the condition in a spot on the tool, then put the mini on the tool to add that condition, and remove it by clicking on it in the floating section.
saizai 25 Mar, 2018 @ 6:37pm
A couple requests:
1. Have health bar # shown on the bar itself.
2. Have the name of the figure it's attached to shown on or above/below the bar.
3. Allow configuring the bar keep tool to change:
a) the color of the bar (e.g. red for normals, yellow for elites, blue for allies)
b) the starting # of max & total HP (so it's not necessary to adjust for each bar)

4. (More advanced) A full remote - listing the hp / max hp / name of everything tracked on a page, and allowing them to be configured from the remote rather than fiddling with the bars.
Z Games 23 Mar, 2018 @ 7:24am
Hey Tattle Tale, I am wondering is it possible to add text line above the health bar, so that we can have floating names above each figure, quite like traditional mmorpg games?
Grimshok 27 Jan, 2018 @ 12:30pm
Wow... just... wow. Thank you!
Wolf 20 Jan, 2018 @ 2:07am
Complements on the job well done. The issue I have is bars beeing physical objects, and interacting with figures. The game I am playing, requires lots of figures placed adjecent to each other, and when I try placing them, they trip and fall over the health bar. Could collision be deactivated for bars? And I would like numbers to be permanently visible on the bar, so I dont need to hver to see exactly how much HP monster has. Thnx.
TattleTale  [author] 18 Jan, 2018 @ 1:45am
BroedipusRex, all you can do is hide the mouseover number. The bar itself remains visible to all players.
BroedipusRex 17 Jan, 2018 @ 9:13pm
Might have been covered before, but is there a way to make it so only the GM sees the HP bars. Would be super useful for keeping track of healths on my end without giving away the health of the creatures to my party.

Are you folks looking for programmers?

I saw that on the discussion and went to subscribe then realized I already had it! It is a really nice feature you are certain to get many other subscriber after the new post. :steamhappy:
talk2lupo 23 Sep, 2017 @ 11:19am
First off, thanks putting this on the workshop.

Secondly, In the default mod, after hitting play scripts, placing a figure on the square and then moving it to the table, no bar descends as in your video. Am I doing something wrong?

Also, is there a way to add a second or more bars of different color or heading?

thanks alot
Sohka217 10 Sep, 2017 @ 12:58pm
Ack, wow I just found the resize button. It was one of the first I was playing with when I just got the mod. Ha XD Still though if you could help me with thae addition of custom tokens that would be grand c:
Sohka217 10 Sep, 2017 @ 12:39pm
Hey my man, I recently discovered a lot of your amazing workshop items and they continue to fascinate me in a billion ways :D Plus your quick responses and activity helping people with your work is equally amazing!
I no very little about lua so I'm kind of blind here. I noticed in a previous comment you mentioned added a button to adjust the height of the bar above an object. I'm having trouble finding that :(
Also, I am trying to add custom tokens to the list of affected objects. I'm at line 187 but my ignorance with lua has sort of halted my progress. Could you tell me how I'd go about adding that? :O
TattleTale  [author] 25 Aug, 2017 @ 10:14am
I tried to make adding a Bar to a Unit very quick and easy (with a bit of practice). The bar is made of 2 pieces; maintaining these extra objects for each single miniature could get messy. As of now, the Bar is temporary and a Unit must be placed onto the BarKeep base each time that Unit is 'spawned' onto the table.
Maska666 25 Aug, 2017 @ 8:52am
Also putting a miniature in a bag the miniature loses its bar. :steamsad:
Maska666 25 Aug, 2017 @ 8:30am
I'm not giving it up, looking for some work around, because this mod is really great. Saving a miniature with his bar into saved objects folder, if I add it a second time on another table, the bar do not appear (even if I operate on bar-keeper token.) Is there a way to maintain the miniature's bar on saved objects folder?
Maska666 25 Aug, 2017 @ 8:14am
TattleTale the solution is not to make the hidden area semi-transparent on its properties! But the bars are visible if the player go inside the area with his camera view.
TattleTale  [author] 25 Aug, 2017 @ 2:03am
Maska666, that is sad to hear -- I was unaware of that. I can't think of anything I could do to stop that, it seem to be a TTS issue. I am sorry.
Maska666 24 Aug, 2017 @ 4:24pm
HI, really great job. Unfortunately bars are visible in hidden areas, making the mod unsuitable for my style of play. Can be fixed?
SuperPenguin 18 Jul, 2017 @ 6:10pm
I tried using this with descent, some times pieces are represented by just a token instead of a full model. When I use this on that the bar is far to small to interact with. Is there a way around that?
Zero 10 Jun, 2017 @ 10:42pm
Hello, first of all thank you for your work, it's really great! I have been having some issues adding a bar to some assets and I can't figure out why, well I'm not a coder, that's why. But anyway, I tried tinkering with the script and the bar just wouldn't place on top of the asset.

Whenever possible could you check why I can't add a bar to the assets on this MOD .

Some others don't work either. What am I missing or how can I make it so that the bar places correctly?

Thank you.
The Questing Knight 8 Jun, 2017 @ 5:53am
should i put it directly on a picture/board i want to cast hexes on?
TattleTale  [author] 8 Jun, 2017 @ 4:14am
sober russian, when the token is 'hex-side-up', click the center of the token to cast hexes. Mouseover the edge to filp the token over to the 'square-side', and then clicking the token at its center will cast squares rather than hexes.
