Okay, Looks like the same problem of the closed state not actually working until the grid resets or the game restarts can also be caused by trying to close the door when a ship is in it.
Given the power requirements of these force fields it would be nice if when you closed them on a block that block were to outright explode with a force relative to its mass.

I was having the same problem as @arcadegamer there.
As in when you power the door off and on again when you put the door in closed state it becomes permiable to ships and people until you reset the grind with the old copy paste.
Which sucks.
If you could fix that and find a way to stop being airtight when powered off as well as when simpily out of power that would be great.

This is fantastic, and I'm excited to use it for carrier builds. For anyone disappointed by the fact that it remains airtight even when off, I have an idea that should work. Just put a door behind a sideways blast door section so that the door isn't visible. Add a timer block and bind your *open* button to also open the door. Now, whenever you open the force field, the door vents the atmo at the same time.

im not sure if this is a me problem or a mod problem, but when the blocks open and close states are toggled, the closed state no longer functions as if its closed, however. i found if the blocks are refreshed, like painting a new texture or reloading the save fixes it until i cycle it again.

Doors tend to wiggle in place and flat out break in multiplayer and fling you around. I love the function of these, just wish they were more stable.

Experience stutter on a small grid ship that looked horrible. Marking down until its fixed.

I seem to be having some issue, could be related to something else, when I group them and put the group on a button to open/close it works, but called from a timer block to do it, it turns them off and there is nothing in the instruction chain that tells it to turn them off. Anyone else have anything weird like that. Not seeing anything in the logs.

@Amar, it still works, in the closed position the force shield its effectively a door that cannot be passed through. in the open position its still airtight but will allow ships and entities to pass unhindered

Hi, does this mod still work? The shields are airtight in the closed position but don't let anything pass through like is shown in the showcase image. Also adding the key value pairs to the block names does not affect the colors. Have I misunderstood how this mod works?

I forgot to hit post on that last night after typing it, but the instant death may not be caused by the block but instead the Rotary Doors I was using. However that doesn't solve the problem of the blocks from this mod, not staying visually with the ship as it flies.

Damn, the mod is very broken at this time. The blocks move with the grid in a bad way. Causing instant death in flight if you walk around your ship at all. They only function if you use them on a station and nothing else. Too dangerous to use on anything that moves.

also of note is that the forcefields closed state does not seem to work properly as i can drive vehicles through them

@KingdomBragg yeah, there's some definitions missing or out of place. I'm taking a crack at updating this and adding functionality, but until then if you want you can replace the two offending files in the '\Data` folder of the mod with the two here: https://github.com/ItsOkayItsOfficial/space-engineers/tree/hangerfields

In MP these were working great, however moving the ship to my SP save the blocks look like dancing piano keys when moving.

seems when moving it has a hard time staying with craft, the faster you move the more it glitches
