Hmm....you might be having the same problem that Juan had. Do you have SKSE installed? It's required for nearly every Skyrim mod. It's extremely easy to install: http://skse.silverlock.org/

Might be the smithing that helps. Again, I need to check that. Seems like a decent damage, compared to your first screen shot of a flawless 28 to start. (Mine's not even worked on yet.)

I put the weapon put in both hands at different times, sheathed, drawn, etc. Even saved and re-loaded. No change in the 24 (un-smithed) base damage.

Make sure you equip the weapon, THEN check to see how high it's damage is.

Saarai90 : Put in the code 020067CF 1 (in the middle of a dungeon atm) and it gave me Harkon's Sword.
At level 98, it's at a base of 24 damage without any smithing done to it yet; So not even Legendary yet. I'll post it's damage when I get into a town next.

Ah, sorry, I must have forgotten to change that back, Dolphin. Let me fix that. I'll put Harkon's sword back on his body.

Also, both mods should be able to work together :D The only difference between the two is the hilt style and blade color.

I have this item, and it counts as Harkon's Sword. Thought, well I got the sword before the mod, maybe I should spawn one in, and it still doesn't work. Any ideas Saarai?

I have the upgardeable daedric artifacts mod, so its 25 in base damage

It's kinda low. for example, I can always rely on Dawnbreaker in lv.23 because its base damage is 25, whereas Black Claw's is 11, kinda mediocre even in the high levels. might wanna divide it by 1.5 instead of 2, or even use the lv. as the damage.

Juan, the current SKSE version is compatible with Skyrim version 1.9.32.0.* according to the website. The star means that any number can go there and it will still work. So you can go ahead and install that version of SKSE and it will work correctly :]

Solardream, every time you equip the sword, a script that I wrote will run in the background and update the sword's base damage depending on your current level. This should ALWAYS work, no matter what level you are.

Basically, the script I'm currently using gets your level, divides it by two, then sets that as the sword's base damage. This is the BASE damage though, not always the actual damage: BlackClaw.SetBaseDamage((akActor.GetLevel() / 2))

I've been thinking of increasing the damage output a little bit. Let me know if it's too weak at high levels. I've never had a character as high as you.

Also, this is a one-handed sword. In the two-handed picture I was actually using the block button to get a cool action shot haha.

Curious. Up to what level does it upgrade with you? (I'm level 97 for instance.)
And is this a 2H or 1H weapon? He's holding it 2H, but it's sheathed 1H.

Ok. That's only if you want to, though. I felt that the least I could do was help out since you helped me out with the Red Moon (AKA, Black Claw). If you do, though, there is a way you can add more land/items to Skyrim, just look at Falskaath (not sure with the spelling) for example. Anyways, I think you have a lot of talent for making mods. BTW, I think I found a bug with Black Claw. What is the base strength for lv. 23?

Actually, I've already done that haha. For example, with the Lakeview changes you don't need any DLC at all. I think Red Moon was the only mod that I hadn't done that for. To be fair, this was also my first mod :P

Those that need certain DLC NEED that DLC haha. The Ancestor Home for example uses a whole new area that you can only get to if you have Dawnguard.

Maybe I could find a way around that....hmmmmm....

Just checked them out. Most are great but require either Dawnguard (or as my buds who don't have it call it, "Damnguard") or Apachii hair mod but the lakeview one is pretty nice. One thing I would reccomend is making non-DLC versions of your mods for people who don't have it. ;)

I remade the mod from the ground up, but this time without Dawnguard. Sadly, this means that the cool red-looking katana model is not available to use. Instead, I made a sister sword and used the Blade's Katana instead: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=161135340
