is there a version of this without weapons and stuff would love to use this but modify it myself and i am having trouble removing everything and im not very good building so i couldnt rebuild it myself

I don't think there is enough space for decent front mounted APS that and i would need to recreate the shape of it didn't do that just made a new version of the sandblaster instead. :papyruswacky:

I think if your up to the task to remake it, then i think you should. Everything about it is outdated sadly :-)

I could gut it and redo it in a dev intended way but like i can't find the spin blocks that are holding the upwards thrusters in this thing so yea complete rebuild required woooooo. :torielsad:

Heres the reason why he dosn't want to update it the propellers are fubar and ALL the thrust is not set up correctly and clipping with things so badly you can't access settings trying to get this thing to fly again with the new AI controls would be a NIGHTMARE i take back what i said you would HAVE to gut it and start over i can see why you didn't dude.

I was In the process of updating it but lost interest in the game because of the constant changes. The entire craft needs a massive overhaul. It uses old lua to hover. - before it was available in the ai menu. Overhaul could come soon.

Max all thruster powers. In belly hide x3 more large thrusters. Tell them to always be on. Inside body theres room for 12 large battery. This will keep ship in air. Lose a single wing. Like in movie.... Its done.

Press Q on the barrel and select the spinning option. (remember to have a set rpm or it won't work)

Well I just finished my first 2.0 Update design, its a structure designed for Sandbox use to give you enough power and rescources to test just about any new weapon or defense design. Its now available on my workshop.

Huh wierd, I cant seem to win battles anymore. The LAMS systems also seem a bit broken and are not targeting missiles as expected in the campaign. Maybe it is my updated version, I will have do delete, re-download, and re-tweak.

well feel free to try and use it but after the update I found that even my updated version of the ship can hardly fight anymore and tends to loose in the campaign versus any type of formiddable fleet.

So Frode I decided to go ahead and mess around wth the design of the ship a bit and came up with more rescource storage (150k and trust me it needs all it can get), improved accuracy and range main front and side cannons, modified top and bottom-firing missile warheads (5 Exp + 1 Frag and 2 Exp + 1 Frag) and then modified the frag spread cone of the rest of the frag missiles on board the ship to all progressive beginning with a very low 1-3 degree front spread. I Also modified the Ninja LUA movement block a tiny bit just for a bit higher altitude to the down-firing missles have a bit more room and the main CRAM cannon can fire a bit better at targets. These are tiny changes but have had a massive effect the thing is even more devistating now :)

There are automated control blocks int the room next to where you spawn when you warp on to the ship. Go in there and press "Test" on the Takeoff one in the ACB Interface, should solve the problem.

Ya true chain reactions are bad, so I put the large side batteries back to frag and left the top and bottom firing as hybrids since they have decent armor for protection. I increased the Cram range only some to 1000, seems to fire just fine with so self-damage. I also maxed its failsafe just in case, seems to work well.

- also a quick note. HE in large numbers can explode and cause a chain reaction, where all missiles fired in a barrage will detonate, one after another.

Ok i will answer alle the questions.
1) why do I like frag? Simple: frag much better at penetrating armor, HE is only good (in my opinion) if you have a missile consisting of looots of them, around 7-12 heads. These types will bust every turret and thing alike, but will never reach a fully armored core.

2) The reason for the short range on the big cram is because it will shoot itself if you set it too a longer range. But the aa guns limitations are based on ammo, yes if I set it so they can shoot 4500m they will maybe be able to be more effective (in the short run) - but in the long run they will use all of there ammo in a short amount of time. (Since there using belt feeders) But while limiting the range means that the shots are much more likely to hit it's target and ammo is conserved.

So ive tried it in a few battles now and I have just two questions for you Frode: 1.) Why do you like frag this much??? lol Every single missile apart from the deticated EMP ones are pure frag warhead, so I actually changed the large side batteries, the downward-firing battery, and the upward-firing battery to hybrids (both Explosive and Frag Warheads) and it is much more effective. For example the top larger missiles now have triple explosive warheads up front followed by progressive cone triple frag warheads behind them (progressive cone meaning 2 degree, then 5 degree, then 10 degree spread). 2.)Why such short range on all the cannons? The main quad cram is set to a limit of 600m only??? It doesnt even hover that close to enemies so it never fires, and the top front AA cannons have shells good for 4500m and accuracy thats decent out to 2000m or so so why are they set to 1200m? Im currently testing and setting up new limits for all weapons
