Yeah, would love an update for 2.0 :LIS_pixel_heart:

is there an update of this mod coming for 2.0?

Thank you to create this wonderful mod!

Id just like to say this mod is great! Good build speed, resources are not bad at all, and with another megastructure mod (prob considered a cheat) you can put multiple of these within a system. Good way to build up to the star forge or such.

I mean i know me, i want high amount of minerals. This nickle n penny way of getting resources when you can build gigantic battleships with 6k weapons was bugging me. This fixes all of that.

Just what I was looking for! Thanks @Lord_Assault

@Ghost! I'm sorry, but no, I've made it on purpose of balance. But they are still pretty imbalanced. :/
Ghost! 21 Apr, 2017 @ 10:15am
can you change the perk requirment to voidborn :D?
LordAssault  [author] 21 Apr, 2017 @ 9:31am
@severedwind I doubt, that this idea clearly applies to Stellaris concept of Minerals, and with Stellaris reality that method would provide reasonable ammounts of Stellaris Minerals. And anyway you'll need certain stars for that purpose.

P.S. And yes, I doubt, that We(our humanity) can get construction materials from stars :D I mean in real life, not on those videos, or paper.
SumYungGuy 21 Apr, 2017 @ 8:55am
@nfp That's what fusion power is.

@author You doubt we can get construction material from stars?

Thanks to @Meltup I've found, that ISB mod changes planet planes, which I was using by mistake for a base mod. Now I've changed value to look nice in vanilla game. Users of ISB mod should subscribe to compatibility patch. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=906311920 Don't worry, that fix doesn't break saves :P
LordAssault  [author] 15 Apr, 2017 @ 12:20pm
@Meltup hmm, I didn't test it with the pre made systems :/ I guess, they have different asteroid plane position :< I would like to be able to use Z coordinates based on bodies you construct on. And I've tried to do so... But the game told me, that I'm able to use only XY coordinates for that and Z coordinate will be absolute. +_+ Maybe I'm just a noob, but googling didn't help me to find a way to do, like it should be done.

@Lord_Assaultーさま This is strange but, when I launch game with only this mod active, I still get this bug. If I start in Sol and try to build recycle around Juno asteroid, I get this position:

Maybe it is intended to be so?
LordAssault  [author] 15 Apr, 2017 @ 11:08am
@Meltup I've changed filename, that should prevent possible conflict with some mods.
LordAssault  [author] 15 Apr, 2017 @ 11:02am
@nfp I highly doubt, that you'll actually be able to harvest minerals from stars in that amounts :D
LordAssault  [author] 15 Apr, 2017 @ 10:59am
@Huon23 actually I've lowered asteroids, for some reason they are located higher, than realistic orbit in vanilla, and because of it that spheres would be placed much lower, than asteroids, because it orients towards the star's core.
LordAssault  [author] 15 Apr, 2017 @ 10:52am
@Meltup there might be 3 reasons for that glich. Some mod create a custom asteroids, which are bigger, than vanilla. Some mod overwrites the ASTEROID_PLANE string in defines, I don't know who ever would need to do so. And the last, some modmaker (especially for that tiny mods) isn't experienced enough and just copied the whole defines.txt +_+ For the 2nd and 3rd issues, I'll change filename now to load it last. But the 1st I doubt that I can help with.
Huon23 15 Apr, 2017 @ 10:51am
I think it would be something in the defines file (Stellaris/Common/Defines/00_defines). I know that's where the height offset is for quite a few things. I think most orbital constructions are designed to be slightly above the object in question. A possible fix might be to either lower the megastructures/orbital constructions, or to raise asteroids themselves. It would require you to modify the vanilla values a bit.
Mad Dissonance 15 Apr, 2017 @ 10:49am
I like the idea here. But to answer on the devil's side, this questions: "How can you ever harvest minerals from a burning gas giants of hell"

It's were minerals essential come from. We suspend beleif for a dyson sphere already, could just say the forge excellerates the process of heavier elements instead of waiting for novas and what not.
Meltup 15 Apr, 2017 @ 10:43am
I have a light visual bug that sphere is built slightly above asteroid. But that is together with a lot of other mods. Any idea what variable can cause it?
LordAssault  [author] 15 Apr, 2017 @ 9:48am
@Huon23 I guess so, they obey standart megastructure rules.
Huon23 15 Apr, 2017 @ 9:32am
Great mod! Also I assume if I have a mod that lets me build multiple megastructures at once, I could build multiples of these?
LordAssault  [author] 15 Apr, 2017 @ 7:59am
Yeah, I've made this mod mostly because of that :D How can you ever harvest minerals from a burning gas giants of hell? :D
Meltup 15 Apr, 2017 @ 7:19am
Wow, this is a golden idea! I don't like Star Forges because their concept of minerals coming from stars is too weird... but building something like that around asteroids totally makes sense.
Thanks a lot for this mod! :nepnep:
LordAssault  [author] 15 Apr, 2017 @ 6:57am
I'm afraid not, because I wanted to leave them as megastructures and don't modify vanilla files. So they obey vanilla rules, that's why I made them build with only 100 days as basis.
Karma 15 Apr, 2017 @ 6:18am
this might come in handy. Can you build multible at once?
