For anyone using Betabound and looking at this mod like I was: Silver Sokolova has since made a small patch which stops Betabound from altering the loading screen . With that patch installed, this mod shows correctly now.

@blubird Hi! I'm the author of Betabound. The two loading screens do appear to overlap. Betabound adds a boolean at `/Betabound` in the `splash` and `loading` cinematics. You can test for them in your patch files (assuming you're using them) to detect Betabound. Additionally, if you'd like your mod to load after Betabound (likely so it can detect the new values added by Betabound), its internal name is XRC_BETA_STARBOUND

@A-Vladimir I'll see if I can make this mod compatible with Betabound, but I've been very busy as of late and have not been able to work on anything recently...

Sadly Betabound loading screen overlays this one (not replace), so they both show up but the Betabound one is on top of the animals :(

Actually I have no idea how to work with Starbound mods, so whatever, I'll stick with this.

So the mod works. I might just take this for myself and make a custom version of it, or try to remake the Koala loading screen with just the penguin.

Side note: If the mod still works, then I'm sorry (since my game itself is having a hard time starting. I don't know it's because of mods or if it's because my game has stopped working.)

The mod sadly has broken to the point where my starbound crashes and sits on a white screen upon load up.
I love this mod so much, but I'd like to know if there's something wrong with the mod.

Geez I remember seeing the ads for Starbound but I was really into Terraria and I firgggin' missed out on so much. I only rewally play sb and cs now tho. at least i can imagine
