Also for anyone scrolling through the comments: People have spoiled a cool part of the item, which we're not too happy with, so I recommend not reading the comments if you want a clean playthrough.

However, the difficulty of the enemies, the increasing amount of them spawned, and especially the small chance for Satan to spawn make this an item that is only valuable in the mid-late game (which could have been the intent, but it will heavily restrict the practical use of the item, often making other active items preferable), assuming you can't bomb out of the locked room that the enemies spawn in (I haven't tested this, but I imagine you shouldn't be able to, since it's like a challenge room's effect).
