a lot of the buildings in famous tourist places are in 3d on google maps, including this resort. you can spin around it, and check it out from almost every angle. perfect for building something like this.

i always wonder how peope use maps for builds, would you have to take screen shots of several sections of the park to scale and add them in using a series of properly alligned screens?! sounds like a headache to me lol. but how ever you did it, the payout was worth it

Right on! i used google maps to build this and worked really hard to get everything to scale and in the right place. am stoked with how it turned out. can't build a disney piece without hidden mickeys!

The Trapezoid building that the monorail goes thru looks so good!!! also, love the Hidden(ish) Mickeys

Really appreciate that @Slow_Target! I've never been there before and used tons of different photos i found online to lay everything out and decorate. I always strive for realism in my builds so it feels good to be told you nailed it! :)

No, seriously - we stayed at Bay Lake Tower a couple months ago, and have stayed at Contemporary a few times. The likeness is amazing. Down to the pavement outside Bay Lake Tower. Frontier should be ringing you up to hire to create DLC. This park makes me homesick for WDW. Too bad you can't save the resort as a blueprint, now that hotels are a thing!

This is amazing! you beat me to it. I built the main tower with two monorails going thru but you have Bay Lake tower, The South Garden Wing and all the pools.

Appreciate that mccanlessjc! Funny thing is, I did add that squirrel. Unfortunately unlike in those youtube vids, my monorail drivers are heartless SOB's that keep a tight schedule, and they just ran him over. Every time I would add a new squirrel, it just meant that there was one less squirrel in this world. I put an end to the squirrel carnage before uploading the map. :D

need to add that squirrel that keeps hoping on the tracks and stopping the train other then that awesome work
