Could we by chance get a game compatibility update? The mod is force-disabled for me because it isn't compatible with the newest game version and I don't want to risk enabling it.

would it be possible to instead of removing the requirement that they be built adjacent to a harbour, fix the issue of potentially hurting adjacency by building them by having them provide adjacency to harbours?

o7 thanks for the hook up to the other guys, and thanks for this

@pauloel7 not a very good way of presenting the errors, use that large EGO much? :steamhappy:

Just picking on the conversation - Easier Wonder Placement mod, right? Nice of you to let us know... useful. Also, considering you might be spending time updating this mod... I found it introduced two "error" entries in the modding.log and the mention "Empty properties are not supported. Skipping. ". See more at https://jpst.it/1bIDb

p0kiehl has created a new mod which removes district requirements for Wonders like Great Lighthouse. For this reason I will no longer be updating this mod. If anyone wanted a simple GL/Colossus mod, you can simply edit his file to remove the wonders you didn't want to affect.

That presumption was a bit too hasty. I can't say for sure when this will be updated, I'm having trouble figuring out what is causing it to crash.
Maguyver  [author] 9 Feb, 2018 @ 7:38am
Yes, I will try to get it done tonight or tomorrow at the latest.
Cosmic Fox 9 Feb, 2018 @ 7:17am
Are you updating for R&F?
Maguyver  [author] 23 Oct, 2017 @ 8:51am
captain, I'll check on that. It's been so long that I've forgotten if there ever was a harbor requirement for Collossus. If so, I'll fix that.

Kpop, is something broken or working incorrectly? I've been playing a bit since the fall patch and haven't experienced any issues, but maybe not seriously enough to notice.

Update please.
Hey Blinkin' 22 Oct, 2017 @ 4:54pm
I like it. But does allow the Collosus to be built without even having a harbour. Not sure whether that was intentional.

yeah this made no sense to me either, that and coast acess n shape can make it unfeasable. cheers

I understand where you're coming from, but in the end this was something that I made for myself because it suited my purposes and I decided to share in case anyone else felt the same way. I don't know about anyone else but I rarely have the opportunity to choose between various cities in which to build a wonder (and I am a wonder... you know), so strategically planning it is usually not an option. I don't play multiplayer or competitively so for me, again, this does exactly what I wanted.

I agree with the trade-off remark: You shouldn't simply be building wonders over resources. You should be harvesting those resources at strategic moments and then building in the newly cleared tiles. Assuming it's just a bonus resource, you're not "wasting" anything, except a single builder charge. If it's a luxury resource, you should probably find a better place to build the wonder.

That being said, I'm going to try this mod.

I didn't realize I was in some kind of competition with him, particularly since our mods focus on different wonders.
philipp-87 22 Apr, 2017 @ 2:52pm
Magil`s Wondrous Wonders does a better job at improving wonders.
Hans the Nameless 21 Apr, 2017 @ 10:32am
Its a trade you make for the wonder, that is the whole point of civ 6, instead of removing one of the conditions you should probably try to buff/improve them.
Sapient_Pest 21 Apr, 2017 @ 9:07am
Although I agree with your reasoning, the Great Lighthouse and the Colossus are not the only improvements that have this counter-intuitiveness. Ruhr Valley is another notable example that comes to mind.

makes sense
