As of the latest 2.6.3 Update, the mod unfortunately seems to be broken. No additional ascension slots are available and I had to rollback to the previous patch to continue my save :steamsad:

Updated the Mod to 2.3 and haven't found any new Problems myself. If you find any please let me know.

Thanks. I really like how this mod isn't as over the top as most of the bonus perk mods. It's handy for using the perks that other mods add without making late game empires all feel identical.

I didn't really think it was this mod, but since I was only running three, I droppped a line on each of them just as a heads up. I'm well into the repating techs on this game would have thougtht it'd shown up, but I'll se if I can figure out how to look at the save game as you suggest so thanks for that, not something I would have thought of.

Hi pladin.knight, this Mod only adds one new Technology and changes nothing else about technology at all. About your Problem, when note getting the living metal tech option through events / fallen empires or the Endgame Crisis it is extremly rare like one of the rarest techs in the game.

You could of course look into your savegame and check the likeliness if it appearing for you.

I don't know if it's this mod, but I'm leaving a note on all three mods I've currently got going. Something is keeping me from getting the living metal tech. I have the resource in a few places, but I've not seen the tech for being able to harvest it, and I feel like I'm well past the point where it should have come up. Just letting you know, again, not sure what's causing it, but I'm using Elysium Ring System, Assimilator Genetics, and Extra Ascension Slots (6)

As far as I know there have been no changes to the Traditions Screen or the Tech System in Update 2.1. So I see no reason why it shouldn't, I will update the Version Compatibility soon.

i don't know how to read or edit save files, is there a console command i can use to unlock the slots instead?

You could look into your save file under your empires potentials to see if it shows up. And if it shows up also have a look at your tech status. Do you know what files the other mod uses?

no it shouldn't, you will however need to finish your current research so the tech options reroll.

I'm sorry for the late update but you can find a Version completly compatible with the Beta on Bitbucket now / Link in the Description. I won't be updateing the Steam Version just yet becourse that would break the Discovery Tree for anyone not using the Beta.

I see, judging by the comments, this mod currently doesn't work. Sad day. :(
Does this work with 2.0.2b? Because The slots are appearing properly, but the repeatable tech to unlock them doesn't show up no matter how many times I completely technology.

I'm currently on holiday which is why I have not been able to look into this. Thanks to all of you for you interest in this mod and helping out. On my own tries I just gave myself all default techs and looked if my tech shows up. As some of you already found out it seems that the internal tech name changed. But the old tech name still exist however can't be get by normal means.

Here's a quick tutorial:
Extract (it is zipped) the following file: / steamapps / workshop / content / 281990 / 909826215 / extascslots6.zip / common / technology / ascension_tech_repeatable.txt and open it. There you will find prerequisites = { "tech_ascension_theory" }, you need to change it to prerequisites = { "tech_ascension_theory_apoc" }.
Save and put the modified file back, remove the old file first or overwrite it, it is up to you. Then it should work. I hope it helps.

The problem is that the technology has changed to "ascension_theory_apoc", like a BUNCH of other people have said. I don't know how to change it, but goddamn if it's that simple then why hasn't it been done already?

hmm they seem to be locked for me?? I have a bunch of slots but they all remain locked, even if I max out traditions.

You can alsao put it in maually in game whiel using the console command by typing; activate_ascension_perk (activates an ascension perk, put ap before the name of the perk)

EXAMPLE: activate_ascension_perk ap_mind_over_matter

@Xanthris , I tried changing stuff around in the mod but it bugged out on me every time :( not a modder myself so...
