Everything works correctly with both mods enabled at the same time.
If you still do not want to have the active maps from the other mod, you would need to delete the relevant config lines on the XComMaps.ini file.

In Ufo - Enemy Unknown you could counter night conditions by throwing flares (or setting the landscape on fire). This is not possible in this game so I would prefer it if is not quite as dark.
Currently it is too dark for me to use this mod which is a shame because I very much like the weather changes.
It mostly works in WOTC; some of the skyboxes don't load/render properly.
Do the ambience sounds of the maps are tied to the .map itself?
Because in all the Envlighting maps which are not from the base game, the ambience is fixed to daytime.
The only way to have night-time ambience (owls, wolves, etc.) is by using the default env_naturenight.

On my home ASUS monitor (2K, 144Hz), that image is gorgeous. Dark, creepy blacksite, yet shades of muddy red and glow ambience.
On my work PC monitor (standard res), it's so damn dark I can barely see any details beyond the turret.
I suggest updating the descriptino and requirements to warn others that you must use this alongside environmental lights and pixelation mods
It works really well.
Add -allowconsole to your launch arguments and then use the togglefow command to remove the fog of war, doesn't reveal enemies.

And I have to say, this mod is superb or genius or however you call such a masterpiece.
I just played a lost mission (you know "horde"-mod, so only lost) and it was like a zombie horror movie became real (atleast ingame ^^). And I love zombie horror movies. Additional there was the hunter chosen lurking in the shadows. With all the darkness it was just so much more better than before.
I hear it works fine in WotC, but unfortunately I don't have the Vanilla SDK to continue maintaining it for both versions.
A re-release for WotC might be an order.
So the question is simple: do these mods work with WOTC or should one wait for their update?
BTW, I love them both since LW2, and am waiting for the wotc update anxiously.
The glitchy sky boxes is caused by a missing dependency from the More Environmental Lighting Maps mod (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=908638853) . Sub that mod then you'll have your night sky.
