can use Tree Anarchy temporary fix instead for the patch 1.16.1-f2
CITYBUILDER2025 24 Feb, 2023 @ 4:11pm
dude it crashes my game
e+ 21 Feb, 2021 @ 3:51pm
If you have this mod running, as soon as you open the trees menu, it starts lagging.
sizequeen74 8 Aug, 2020 @ 6:49pm
Any chance of a possible fix? I still get times where it just will not work for weeks at a time. It's entirely arbitrary.
sizequeen74 5 Feb, 2020 @ 11:25pm
Just stopped working. For no reason at all. Was using it a few hours earlier and now the commands either move the tree or move the camera. It's as though the control button is not being pressed.

@sabayobiboy I think @Enroy meant in the map editor.
Yohan 20 Nov, 2018 @ 11:12pm
for me 15 is normal
Enroy 27 Oct, 2018 @ 8:23am
Very bad performance drop once entering the tree menu, from solid 60 fps to 15. Only caused by this mod (probably interference with another). Can't use this mod.
Captain Toof 4 Jun, 2018 @ 8:14am
We need also props/models scaling, global.
Avanya 25 May, 2018 @ 12:20am
Thank you for the update! :steamhappy:
Katalepsis  [author] 24 May, 2018 @ 3:55pm
Updated for ParkLife.
MomoTimbuktu (Louis) 2 Apr, 2018 @ 5:24am
When I create a map with this mod: do I need putting it into recommended list in case of publishing to the workshop so that the changed scale is also the same for other users? Or are the changed settings automatically "included" in the map? (Hope you got what I mean)
Katalepsis  [author] 16 Nov, 2017 @ 11:48pm
Erke: No.
Erke 10 Nov, 2017 @ 7:56am
Do the trees stay the same size even if the mod disabled?
Quboid 30 Aug, 2017 @ 1:17pm
Performance problem fixed: I bought more RAM. After getting more assets I started getting the same performance issue with complex buildings, and Loading Screen Mod was giving the red text warning for memory. At a guess something to do with placing assets is leaking memory and as I downloaded more assets there was less space to fill up. I don't know why disabling trees didn't help before, perhaps it did but not enough to be noticeable as I still had hundreds of other assets enabled.
Quboid 1 Aug, 2017 @ 6:35pm
More on the performance problem. Having trees visible on Find It!'s tab is fine as long as no tree is selected - it is once I click on a tree that performance crashes and is particularly bad when the mouse is over the plants tab (or Find It! list). I have 105 tree assets installed but even after disabling them performance is affected about as much. My system is an Intel i7 3.5Ghz; 16GB, Geforce 1070 running Win10 x64.
Quboid 1 Aug, 2017 @ 6:00pm
I have the same problem as @Senatic. With only this and the official Unlock All mod, on a new city on an official map, performance in the tree menu drops rapidly (but not immediately). Performance in Find It! is affected in the same way.
raybap 17 Jul, 2017 @ 6:40pm
@TPB, indeed, when I change a tree brightness with ModTools the change is immediate for the asset model, but the corresponding LOD remains unchanged. However, I figured out I just have to plop a new exemplar of the modified tree (or use MoveIt! on an existing exemplar of such tree) to update the LOD of all trees of the same kind in a certain region around the newly plopped exemplar. (The problem is that the changes go away after I quit the game.) You may find an example of this behaviour at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/z6q9ls0mf9sc0sd/bamboo-example.png?dl=0 . Have you tried this before? If not, perhaps this trick would solve the problem with a version of your mod including the ability to make brightness changes to trees.
Katalepsis  [author] 15 Jul, 2017 @ 5:13pm
@raybap: I tried that but I can't get it to work for the lod, sadly the brightness change doesnt work for the LODs, even after using every trick I know to refresh them. So I pretty much gave up on that. Would gladly add it if anyone can figure it out.
raybap 14 Jul, 2017 @ 8:33pm
@TBP, thanks for the very useful mod. I wonder how hard would it be for you to expand the mod to include the ability to also change the minimum/maximum brightness of each tree.
Katalepsis  [author] 4 Jun, 2017 @ 7:50am
Thanks David, glad to know it is of use to you :D Can't wait to see more of your city!
davidredgren 3 Jun, 2017 @ 11:41pm
Tai, this is an essential mod. Finally I can get stuff right-sized.
Senatic 9 May, 2017 @ 7:38am
No, it happens even on a brand new map with a standard theme.
Katalepsis  [author] 8 May, 2017 @ 2:51am
Lol, that's like 10x better than mine...

Is your city very large where this happens? Like, populationwise?
Senatic 8 May, 2017 @ 12:38am
Windows 10 64x
Intel I5 2500k 3,3Ghz
AMD R9 390 with latest drivers
16Gb ram

Everything up to date. It happens for me even if this is the only mod I have active. The weird part is it only tanks my frames when I have the plants tab open, otherwise it's fine and works without giving any error messages.
Katalepsis  [author] 7 May, 2017 @ 11:52am
Hmm, strange, doesn't happen to me.. could you tell me your city statistics and system specs?
Senatic 7 May, 2017 @ 3:04am
This mod makes my FPS tank like crazy whenever I open the plats tab. Removing the mod removes this issue.
Brot 5 May, 2017 @ 1:14pm
TPB: Wow, you're fast. Fix works like a charm, thanks so much. Very useful mod!
Katalepsis  [author] 5 May, 2017 @ 12:31pm
Brot: Just published a little bug-fixing update that hopefully solves this issue, let me know :D make sure you get the updated version, you can do this by restarting Steam, or unsubbing, waitinf a couple of minutes, then resubbing.
Brot 5 May, 2017 @ 9:16am
Hey TPB, I just got Dreej's error I think. Loaded up my current fully functional save (tons of assets and mods, admittedly) and had this pop up right away:
"
NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at PlantScaling.SavedPlantScaleData.Save () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
at PlantScaling.PlantScalingManager.Initialize () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
at PlantScaling.Mod.OnLevelLoaded (LoadMode mode) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
at LoadingWrapper.OnLevelLoaded (UpdateMode mode) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
"

I can just keep playing afterwards, but obviously the mod won't do anything. Any ideas what's going on?
AntonioBernal 4 May, 2017 @ 12:47pm
Amazing mod TPB, thank you so much. Working perfectly here so far.
Katalepsis  [author] 4 May, 2017 @ 11:57am
maybe you had an older version of the mod :D Let me know if it happens again, thanks
Dreej 4 May, 2017 @ 10:55am
oh well, no errors now...
I don't get it.

I had the usuall error window popping up after loading a new city right after subbing to your mod only..
Dreej 4 May, 2017 @ 10:45am
i've resubbed and loading a fresh map to paste the error message
Katalepsis  [author] 4 May, 2017 @ 10:23am
What error? I need more information to be able to fix things.... "error occurred" is pretty hard to solve.
Dreej 4 May, 2017 @ 9:54am
had to unsub, error occured.
Pres 1 May, 2017 @ 10:56am
@TPB Alright, cool!
Katalepsis  [author] 1 May, 2017 @ 10:20am
I updated this mod today. Change initialization method to hopefully fix Pres' issue. Also added scale information to construction cost tooltip. Enjoy.
Katalepsis  [author] 29 Apr, 2017 @ 10:15am
You probably have a mod error from some other mod that happens before this mod loads, so it doesnt let it load.
Pres 29 Apr, 2017 @ 10:02am
I don't know why, but when I closed then reloaded my save all trees' scales changed back to default...
Rafario 28 Apr, 2017 @ 8:02pm
thank you a lot! It's MUCH easier to do dense florests now
miguel.aguilera.f 28 Apr, 2017 @ 2:58pm
Amazing, but the LODs are not updated for me, they remain in the original scale.
Silk Boxer Wedgie 26 Apr, 2017 @ 8:49am
Amazing! No more child-sized flowers!
hadece 25 Apr, 2017 @ 11:42pm
Oh god this was so necessary! Thank you ;w;
BachToBaroque 25 Apr, 2017 @ 10:03pm
Works flawlessly, thank you TPB!
Katalepsis  [author] 24 Apr, 2017 @ 10:55am
No need for ui, select a plant in menu, then use key shortcuts. I won't be adding UI :D
PHTN 24 Apr, 2017 @ 10:33am
Does it have a UI man :D
HeadKillah 23 Apr, 2017 @ 3:10am
Awesome !! Thx for this :)
benzoll 22 Apr, 2017 @ 4:32pm
