Doesn't matter. Precursor Story Pack uses "flags" so the compatibility is independent of the load order.

@SloppyJoppy, Yeah, it kinda sucks but major edits would need to be done to allow all 5 to be found in every game. It wasn't really all that practical before the patch to get all 5, since much of the map would be covered by the AI and already scanned so getting the needed artefacts would take a long time (through events). I don't plan on changing this, but if someone would do it and send me the files I would add it to the mod (with credits for the author, of course).

so i realised how much the new patch fucks this mod up, since you cant survey empires systems anymore i usually end up finding only 2-3 precursors now if lucky 4 . . .

I honestly don't know. I've heard that people have issues with saves that have progressed. I would recommend starting a new game for full effect, but it does work even for in-progress saves.

In vanilla, every precursor spawns. When you are surveying, the first precursor flagged system you survey is the precursor you begin the event chain for. This mod makes it so that you can get every event chain by surveying their appropriate cluster. You can have every event chain active at the same time, and you will receive all the benefits of the event chains, so yes you get the unity.
I COULD make it so it doesn't require an edit of vanilla events... Now that I think about it, it would be a good idea to look into in a later update.

It doesn't include AI functionality. All it changes is the ability for the player to start the event chains. I think that it would require a rewrite of many more events to get the AI to actively pursue the Precursors.

You and your friend should delete C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mods_registry.json and relaunch the launcher. See if that helps?

If not, check C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\914207412
In that folder, there should be both a events folder and a common folder. If the common folder is missing then the mod hasn't updated clientside. To fix that: Delete the 914207412 folder and associated ugc_*.mod file under the My Documents mod folder. Unsubscribe and resubscribe to redownload.

No he cant see my hosted game when he disables check of version it says its different, this was not issue before the today update ( yesterday it was fine ) when disabled this mod we can play again, we use mod manager to have same order and sins it worked before the update and with this one disabled it pretty clear something broke with the update multiplayer wise.

Is it not possible to play with the error? Do you and your friend result in different checksums? The version error doesn't mean anything to the functionality of the mod, I just assumed it was a launcher-specific thing. I will be redoing the mod for the next update so hopefully that should fix the issue.

This mod is only mod update today, now my friend I even tough got same mod list and order cant see eachother game anymore, and got ! at play button wich wasnt there yesterday. as this one only one updated what changed and why does it say mod is not working with this game version.?

It does, but its hard to actually get all six artifacts because of the AI surveying everything and preventing you from accessing anomalies.

Guilli's Planet Modifiers used to allow the AI to start/complete the event chains. However, they removed that feature a while back. I know there is a block in the event to start the chain. Perhaps looking into the remaining events and projects for a precursor would reveal any other issues preventing it from working.
Look at the main files (in the Stellaris directory) for the precursor events. My mods are very specific with what is edited for maximum compatibility with other mods, so you may not see everything that needs to be changed.

I wonder, if it is possible to allow AI also finish precursor event chains, so that in the midgame there will be number of AI empires, each with own relic? It is just that RNG doesn't love me a lot, so it gives me zroni chain exactly when I plan to play as synth ascended, and stuff like that.

Right now I'm reading your code (of the mod) and trying to figure, how to achieve decribed result, and I'll appreciate any hints about this.

This mod functions by removing the limitation on having only one precursor event chain active. Technically, it should function even with old saves however it relies on the galaxy not being completely surveyed. I'm not sure if it works without Ancient Relics. You can try :P

As far as I am aware, all precursors do spawn in the galaxy and it is just a matter of which one you end up finding first.
