I've worn flak vests. They already smell like the last eighty guys who wore it. Flak vests really shouldn't get the tainted debuff.
CollectibleTaco 25 Mar, 2021 @ 11:56pm
@Bipolar Unstable Flak vests are kinda more like clothing, the armour that this mod is made for is like power armour or recon armour
evilempiregodamn 25 Aug, 2020 @ 9:14am
add please
cucumpear  [author] 25 Aug, 2020 @ 9:05am
Flak vests are not meant to be included.
cucumpear  [author] 25 Aug, 2020 @ 8:40am
which arnour?
evilempiregodamn 25 Aug, 2020 @ 8:32am
why dont work with armor
cucumpear  [author] 12 Jul, 2020 @ 11:38am
That's not a planned feature atm, but there are other mods for removing the tainted tag completely. ^^
Spanks Masterson 11 Jul, 2020 @ 8:48pm
This doesn't make clothing cootie-free, does it? Is there any chance that you could provide an option for that in this mod?
BamboozleBallet 25 Apr, 2020 @ 8:58am
You are a gorgeous human being. <3
cucumpear  [author] 25 Apr, 2020 @ 5:42am
TY for the reminder, my head has been all over the place recently. It should be fixed now!
BamboozleBallet 24 Apr, 2020 @ 1:11am
Recon armour is still tainted, (it was from someone in an ancient danger sleep sarcophagus if that makes any difference) thanks for the awesome mod <3
cucumpear  [author] 5 Apr, 2020 @ 3:47pm
hm, I'll check again tomorrow in case I derped
✪Lustrous狼 5 Apr, 2020 @ 6:40am
which new armours count? had a recon helmet drop tainted :o
✪Lustrous狼 5 Apr, 2020 @ 3:51am
thank you! :)
cucumpear  [author] 4 Apr, 2020 @ 10:46pm
Yep!
✪Lustrous狼 4 Apr, 2020 @ 3:35pm
does this mod include the new armours? (recon) :D:
cucumpear  [author] 9 Feb, 2020 @ 9:42am
I'm just glad it's not all broken, and you reminded me that I need to check if I even added plate armour!
Yelping Man Candy 9 Feb, 2020 @ 8:41am
The problem is me. I seemed to recall the bulletproof vests being cootie-free, so because they weren't, I assumed the whole mod wasn't working. It's quite possible I'm not remembering that right, we're talking 2017/2018 here.

Did a couple tests, with and without my mod setup.

Marine armor drops untainted.
Simple helmet, advanced helmet, and marine helmets drop untainted.
Was unable to specifically spawn anybody in plate armor.

I just need to hang in there, as my incoming raids aren't strong enough to have real armor :D
Yelping Man Candy 9 Feb, 2020 @ 7:43am
I only really run mods that add like farming, bridges, refrigerators, stuff like that. Not running CE, or any other mods that add guns or armor.

I'll start a new game with only this mod and use dev mode to spawn some waves to rule out a conflict.
cucumpear  [author] 9 Feb, 2020 @ 3:09am
It doesn't work at all? It only patches vanilla items, do those work?
Yelping Man Candy 8 Feb, 2020 @ 1:34pm
Anybody been able to get this working? I'm not running that many mods, and none of the others really affect gear. I previously had it back in alphas and betas working just fine, running way more mods.
MachoNatchoMan 28 Aug, 2019 @ 10:40am
is there a B18 version of this mod? or a similar one for B18, i cannot seem to find one so far :q
cucumpear  [author] 19 Jul, 2019 @ 2:52am
It should, but I don't know if it will change already tainted items.
MatthewTh0 18 Jul, 2019 @ 7:50pm
Is this safe to add/remove to an existing save?
BamboozleBallet 25 Jun, 2019 @ 8:59am
Will do, I'll let you know if that helps, I'm also using 'grim reality' which seems to reduce 'tainted' debuff to just -1 which thinking about it is more likely the cause of the problem... (I only just thought of that) I just don't like the word 'tainted' on stuff really ^.^
cucumpear  [author] 25 Jun, 2019 @ 8:53am
I guess something decided to override the tags I patched in. You may want to try moving this to the bottom of the mod list.
BamboozleBallet 25 Jun, 2019 @ 6:57am
Seems this has stopped working recently, the only mod which I have that may conflict is 'repair workbench'. Great mod when it works <3
cucumpear  [author] 10 Nov, 2018 @ 3:15am
Thanks for reporting, I really appreciate it.
Tiger 10 Nov, 2018 @ 3:05am
MendAndRecycle, maybe... but no conflict errors.
cucumpear  [author] 10 Nov, 2018 @ 1:48am
Hm, I'll definitely double check on my end. Do you have anything else that might be affecting armour?
Tiger 9 Nov, 2018 @ 5:19pm
This doesn't throw any errors, but also doesn't appear to work in-game. All armor items are still being marked as tainted.
cucumpear  [author] 17 Oct, 2018 @ 1:35am
The update to 1.0 only changed the version code, so just enable it in your 0.19 game. ^^
Xam Huad 3 Dec, 2017 @ 6:09am
It should probably mention that in either the title or description that:
:ChompyChompy: this mod only modifies vanilla armor. :blackbug:

Going through comments to find key information is bad mmk.
cucumpear  [author] 3 Dec, 2017 @ 1:50am
It works fine for me, but I'll push an update since I have to add the war mask anyway. If something got corrupted that should clear it up.
Magıc 2 Dec, 2017 @ 4:36pm
I'm not sure why this mod doesn't work for me. I probably have too many confictling mods on lol
cucumpear  [author] 22 Nov, 2017 @ 3:13pm
I hadn't, and tbh my C# is so bad that it's probably never going to happen.
cucumpear  [author] 22 Nov, 2017 @ 9:35am
You shouldn't get any conflicts, but this will only modify vanilla armour.
Radical Rust 22 Nov, 2017 @ 6:25am
Will this work with mods that modify/add armors to the game, for example Combat Extended or Star Wars?
MJpi 22 Jun, 2017 @ 2:30pm
Oh, lol thanks
cucumpear  [author] 22 Jun, 2017 @ 2:26pm
That's because I completely derped and somehow forgot to actually update it. Don't ask me why I labelled the release wrong. I'll have it fixed shortly.
MJpi 22 Jun, 2017 @ 2:00pm
I tried the one on github and it says its for a different version. any help?
cucumpear  [author] 7 Jun, 2017 @ 12:41am
"I'll wash it off later, definitely."
"Whoops, the brain matter has fused the helmet to my head. Welp..."
Sadly I lack the C# ability to make a proper mending/de-squicking mod atm.
"The" SeanMacLeod 6 Jun, 2017 @ 5:38pm
And during the heat of a raid, you don't always have time to "rinse off a helmet that has a couple of dents" lol
Unfriendly Joe 6 Jun, 2017 @ 6:11am
Thanks for the mod, the fact that they wouldn't wear body armor or power helmets was kind of odd to me. Makes sense for clothes, not for armor.
"The" SeanMacLeod 1 Jun, 2017 @ 1:13am
I know I wouldn't want to wear "a shirt that's mostly bullet holes and burns and held together with dried blood", at least not without trying to wash it first......and maybe fixing it........
Snos Sneedter 30 May, 2017 @ 6:23pm
i hate death cooties, thank you for getting rid of them
GOTzMADsKILLz 27 May, 2017 @ 6:52am

pyr0kid 25 May, 2017 @ 2:36pm
