@𝓛𝓮𝓮𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓭 you're both wrong; "Habitable" is a shortening of "Inhabitable" which is an extension of "inhabit" which is a contraction of the colloquial phrase from several centuries ago "in your habits" meaning "to be in a place where one can behave as is their habit". Isn't the study of linguistic drift wild...?

@Scorch No, actually inhabitable means that it IS habitable. Uninhabitable means that it is not.

just a heads up inhabitable means not habitable, aka not livable inviroment sorry if i seem rude or like a sweaty reditor or anything buy yeah, i have OCD lol : ) hope it helps

nah i just saw this and wanted it for 1.1, so after i found it i just left a tip here for anyone else who wants it for 1.1. The real ruins mod doesn't run on 0.17 so you're good.

so, basicly, to double check, placing a wall as an item that formed creates a wall? What happens if you form so many it fills the entire map... MWAHAHAHAHA

Just kidding. It was super easy. When you are making a scenario, add walls to the list of starting items, and prebuilt standing walls will be randomly placed (creating the illusion of ruins)

Then add some other prebuilt structures, and viola, it looks like there used to be a building here, but now there are just ruins.

Referring to my last comment, this scenario uses no modding, so it is unlikely to cause any conflicts with any mods at all, but it is possible. Please try it out, and if it does conflict, please come back and let us know!

theres another mod that adds ruins randomly on the map as well as furniture would this conflict with it because i could totally get behind using this starting scenario and this would be cool

This scenario is 100% vanilla, and does not consider foreign mods.

Possible cause: I have discovered that when using "EdB Prepare Carefully" to edit pawns at the start or "Careful Landing" causes this to happen.

Far clarification, this does not generate buildings. They aren't perfect squares and rectangles.
The furniture is suppose to be uninstalled, and the walls appear to be placed randomly.

I'm having the same problem as Antenore, no buildings just a load of uninstalled furniture and stuff scattered around the spawn point. I'm not using any other mods so that isn't the problem either. :(

No, complete opposite, there are no walls, doors, dispenser. I only recieve the other furniture and items but none of them are installed.

Im not sure if Im doing something wrong with this scenario or if something is conflicting with it, everytime I've tried to play it the game loads in and I dont get any ruins or half the items Im suppose to have. The only thing there is are the objects that actually count as placeable objects scattered around the spawn point, uninstalled. Any help would appreciated.

This is not a mod, so I've used no code to specify any of that. Typically the ruins spawn in the center of the map. What I've done (basically) is changed some of the starting spawn items into walls (and other stationary items) To create the illusion of ruins. If you're still confused about what it might look like, I suggest subscribing, start a game, and if you don't like it, un-sub. This is my most popular scenerio, so I think most people are pleased with what they find.

So, where do the "ruins" tend to spawn? In the center of the map? Do they spawn inside mountains? What about on roads and rivers? And what's the extent of the "various rubble of preexisting buildings"?

My mistake. Ludeon says they are Cryptosleep, then they are Cryptosleep. Not sure why I thought they were cryosleep.
