However, now we're able to create custom resources and components relying on them so we might give it another shot in the future. No promises, but ship components are at least on our radar n_n
We prefer deciding that for ourselves. Small things can be subject to polls, but entire projects are too much to leave at the mercy of democracy n_n
Circumstances change all the time, our moods change even more often, and we need to stay flexible in order to stay productive. Working on whatever we feel like working on at any given time ensures that always something gets done, even if it's slightly out of turn.
@shaw42: Trying <3 Elves and Asari can't be released until Paradox fixes stuff on their end but we should at least have SCX and its modules sorted out soonish.
That said, Omega getting finished does not guarantee SA will be next. We might decide to work on another faction first when we get to that point n_n
Le Guin introduced a lot of stuff that not only synergises well with our ideas for Omega, but also introduced a lot of things we were planning to make ourselves (crime and interactions with it). This significantly shortened our to-do list <3 so expect a lot more Omega news in 2019 as we... pretty much have all the tools we need to make it perfect(ish) now!
Likewise, we don't have much interest in Halo and Star Wars at this time. I've never even played a Halo so I don't trust in my ability to do it justice. And Star Wars, we feel, is already covered by other modders. Have you checked ouit Star Wars: Fallen Republic? I'm actually looking forward to it mysefl! I believe it's produced by some of the same devs who worked on Star Trek: New Horizons

Mhm... I don't know, we're not really big fans of dwarves. Please don't take this as a definitive statement (no plans whatsoever at this time, not even on our wall of crazy) but if we were to tackle dwarves, I doubt our idea would be in line with what most people see as dwarves.
Personally, if I had the creative lead on it, I would end up making something along the lines of FF14 Lalafell, and if Nessa did, I know she'd probably picture them more as TES Dwemer (who are basically also elves)
So... I'm afraid if you're looking for a more traditional depiction of dwarves, we're about the wrongest people in the world to ask n_~

So please don't just try to enable everything. Some things in it have their own requirements, some may even be mutually exclusive.

The short version is: we're kinda working on a conversion proeject already. It's just... we're delivering it in small, focused parts that eventually may or may not come together into a greater whole.
That said, permissions-wise, feel free to use anything from Mass Effect Species Pack (Updated). VJ issued an open permission for anyone who's interested to use it any way they want.
But we'd ask you to leave Asari and Omega to us for the time being.
Right now it's still too early and there aren't enough assets to do a total conversion with but maybe at some point in the future we could pool our resources and work on one together ^^
But even if we had permission, it would be moot. If/when we get to human factions' shipsets we'll create new assets from scratch to ensure that they are up to our standards of quality and functionality (and consistent art style).
If all you're looking for is the existing models rearranged, you could ask Captain himself. He's still active and working on NSC ^^
I don't think there would be modelling work, just some code (reassigning ship classes to match 2.0 titan and colossus reality). Shame I can't grasp modding for Stellaris, tho I tried :/
We want to do all shipsets eventually but the order and timeframe aren't set in stone. Our current focus is Omega.
