Seems there is little I can do about it. Playing on fully vanilla servers is the only way as it always was basically.
I suggest Ground Branch for a similar weapon experience, but better.
I wonder if there is a mod like this that does have the vanilla sights?
The models are mostly intertwined with eachother through the script/theater files. If I had one model as a standalone, its script would overwrite another.
I tried to release the optics with the riser mount as standalone, but they depent too much on the script edits.
I was begging for this, a realistic no zoomed sight aiming.
It gets the game way more immersive and realistic.
The console values should actually stick. They change the ADS FOV and sightoffset permanently. It doesn't work for you that way?

Not fan of WW2, so even if I had DOI I'd probably not work on it. The way I see from videos, the weapon postures aren't that bad in DOI.

The riser rail is part of the scope. I tried to have it being a modkit (like the AK rail), but it didn't work. I could make it a part of the weapon, but it would suck if you'd aim the iron sights. Honestly I'm out the loop regarding the mod, so can't tell if I will do it. Might do, might not, can't tell. :/
@Rice Farmer: You could extract the mod to your "Steam\steamapps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\custom" folder, unsubscribe from the mod and delete the RPK files from "Steam\steamapps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\custom\psymod [enhanced] - Part 1\models\weapons"
Optics got rescaled, so you wont find those tiny aimpoints on your MP5's. Kobra is next.
An update is there and I had to split it in two parts now, so please go ahead and subscribe to part 2 of the mod.
I hope you approve of the changes I made to the AR15 platform. Tell me what you think.
Thanks to Farengar and tigg whose tutorials and help in the forum helped me through this (hell).
If this condition is permanent though, than something is wrong that is unknown to me. Maybe try re-subscribing to the mod again?
@bbxing retard: Happens to me sometimes, too. Maybe server runs some mods or settings that conflict?
@_TOTTALY FINE-: NO, MOD TOTTALY FINE! On a serious note though, maybe try using the "standard version" linked in the description, if you use mods.
Love the mods compilation too. In regards to the AR15s parallax front sight issue you've noted, I'm using the PMAG mod (I think Farenger's) which removes front sights when an optic is mounted.. might be something to look into as a fix for that.
