@Pouakai Good job, we do indeed need more latter era wonders, Industrial, Modern and beyond.
Dante 15 Sep, 2016 @ 2:32am
The BuildingClassType in the Apollo_Civilizations.xml are set to BROADWAY.

We don't want city states (or worse, the Barbarians!) to go to the Moon :)
Pouakai  [author] 4 Dec, 2015 @ 12:36am
If you read the description of this mod, you'll see that this replaces the existing Apollo Program with Project Longshot
Porkey 3 Dec, 2015 @ 7:57pm
I think this is already in the Base game...Yep http://www.dndjunkie.com/civilopedia/PROJECT_APOLLO_PROGRAM.aspx
Pouakai  [author] 23 Sep, 2015 @ 12:17pm
Same amount of time, it's just a cosmetic change
Chrisgaming 23 Sep, 2015 @ 5:29am
How long does project longshot take compared with the Apollo programme in the normal game?
eugenespruill 8 Aug, 2015 @ 10:29pm
after all ur spaceship parts are sent to the capital how do u sent the spaceship to space
Burning Mercy 30 Dec, 2014 @ 5:41am
@Poua, true, but there's myths of the Moon once being a smaller Earth and it faded away into a chunk of rock.
Pouakai  [author] 29 Dec, 2014 @ 9:56pm
Which is still a giant ball of rock separate from the giant ball of rock man had lived on beforehand, so it's another world
kr15t0ph3r 29 Dec, 2014 @ 6:03pm
They havent stepped upon another world.....funnily enough 'The Moon' is a Moon
Burning Mercy 20 Oct, 2014 @ 2:37pm
@ Not only that, the CIA sold Russia destroyed/broken parts.
Zackmar 1 Sep, 2014 @ 3:57am
Technically,US won the space race...but in reality, russia was first in everything BUT the landing, they just fucked the N-1 Block A,resulting in them failing the launching of their own lander, and thus, losing the space race.
potential energy nonbeliever 9 Aug, 2014 @ 12:03am
...America won the space race. Do you not know basic history?
AFP_Player 17 Jul, 2014 @ 5:36am
"and winning America the Space Race" , ha, that`s funny, why you, idiots win?
Venusaisha 9 Jan, 2014 @ 6:46pm
As this millennium is currently in progress, its first two decades, the 2000s and 2010s, are the subject of the historian's attention. The remaining part of the 21st century and longer-term trends are researched in futurology.

21th: digital , 22th: nano , 23rd: information , 24th: warp , 25th: communication age , 26:Revelation age , 27:enlightenment age , 28:apocalyptic age , 29:Hyperion age (science fiction says Mankind stands on the brink of Armageddon) ,
30:retribution age ( the decline of the Earth Empire) and till the 500 quintillion century
Venusaisha 9 Jan, 2014 @ 6:33pm
it makes a good add with whats current in game & envoy dragonflight mod 8)
Venusaisha 9 Jan, 2014 @ 6:31pm
nethier, space race is just a infinity race to space, space race keeps going, however at year 2000 and up the asians are now in the lead. japans spends 6 billion, u.s now speends millions. it never ends

" I'd go so far as to say it almost guarantees a Scientific Victory for whoever builds it." - that's the point
Emily 7 Nov, 2013 @ 4:43pm
I love the mod, but it's a bit too powerful. I'd go so far as to say it almost guarantees a Scientific Victory for whoever builds it.
I'd either reduce the free technologies from 2 to 1, or reduce the +10 Sci and 3 Scientist slots to +2 Sci and 2 Scientist slots.
slim_da_reaper 20 Sep, 2013 @ 10:30am
There's a whole solar system, cooling down and terraforming Venus, Mar's time is long over it will be a good stepping stone maybe we can get something going there but the crust is massively thick as the planet is small and died a long time ago.
Orthopaktis 6 Sep, 2013 @ 7:06pm
The space race isn't over until there's a colony on Mars, so shut up about it and enjoy the damn mod.
Valthizar 2 Sep, 2013 @ 10:17pm
As far as the space race goes, Russia won the "space race" and America won the Moon race.
Bradith5 31 Jul, 2013 @ 2:33am
As far as the space race goes, you don't crown the winner of the 100m dash at the 60m mark. The Soviets didn't ever land a person on the moon. While America was at max a year behind the Soviets in the space race. Their version of the Saturn V could barely get off the ground.
VTShark 19 Jun, 2013 @ 6:29am
I had a feeling this wonder may be a bit too powerful, but was narrowly able to defeat Persia in the space race despite him building it on Prince, which is the normal difficulty. Still feels pretty damn strong though.
BRUHNANA 21 May, 2013 @ 2:00pm
i think the moon is a bigger milestone then satllites
Pouakai  [author] 21 May, 2013 @ 1:06pm
Again, it depends. Russia bet America to everything except the Moon
BRUHNANA 21 May, 2013 @ 12:47pm
i think america won the space race
Pouakai  [author] 7 Feb, 2013 @ 10:48am
The victor of the space race depends on who you ask - most sources say it was the moon as the prize, but then again most sources are American
culamine 7 Feb, 2013 @ 7:53am
The description; I don't think it won America the space race. Russia got to space first.
Pouakai  [author] 27 Dec, 2012 @ 3:07pm
Info Addict has been having issues after the expansion, try disabling that and see if that fixes it
Psilo_Psych 27 Dec, 2012 @ 2:32pm
i am using most of your wonder mods, ethnic units, ingame editor, info addict, perfect world 3 and civ 5 unofficial patch. i am fairly certain that one of these are conflicting with this mod
Pouakai  [author] 23 Dec, 2012 @ 11:28pm
That sounds unusual - mind telling me if you've got any other mods active, and if so what?
Psilo_Psych 23 Dec, 2012 @ 9:38pm
the stupidity in some of these comments is worrying. In an unrelated note for some reason this mod is really messing up my game, my cities will totally break as will my diplomacy. Also all of the text will be missing from the wonders Civilopedia entries.
Onebit 12 Dec, 2012 @ 5:57pm
ok, it's a wonder in earth land.
Pouakai  [author] 12 Dec, 2012 @ 9:31am
Where was the Apollo program developed?
Onebit 12 Dec, 2012 @ 1:03am
why is it a wonder in earth land ?
Background 27 Nov, 2012 @ 11:02am
Could be a little nerfed.
Pouakai  [author] 27 Oct, 2012 @ 12:14am
That wasn't for you, that was for Comrade Sergei. To build spaceship parts you need Project Longshot, which comes with Satellites
Scalie Bloke 26 Oct, 2012 @ 9:39pm
yea but i cant find the wonder. i cant bulid the ship parts yet. it says i need it.
Pouakai  [author] 23 Oct, 2012 @ 7:47pm
Thank you Turnip Jam, I'm getting tired of explaining that.
Turnip Jam 23 Oct, 2012 @ 6:53pm
Read the decription Sergei
The Apollo program is reassigned and a Alpha Centuri type wonder sits in the formers place
SPESS 24 Sep, 2012 @ 5:59am
There's already a wonder for that...
Scalie Bloke 7 Sep, 2012 @ 9:54pm
how do i bulid it. i have all the tec and the stuff to buld it
Rashkavar 5 Sep, 2012 @ 12:36am
Good concept (having the apollo program launch the space race to colonize another star system has always been something about civ that confused me), but it seems like a bit of a game-breaker to me. 2 Modern/Future Era technologies popped plus *huge* science generation potential. As soon as people industrialize, anyone with a brain would focus toward rocketry to get a wonder this epic. Sydney Opera House isn't anywhere near this good and it's almost critical to a cultural victory. I can see either the double-tech pop or the science boost as being reasonable, but not both.

I'd say something to commemorate Armstrong's life, but everything I can think of has already been said.
bjorn 4 Sep, 2012 @ 3:32pm
Rest in peace, Armstrong. Great looking mod, thank you.
Abraracourcix 4 Sep, 2012 @ 1:17pm

Frankie_00000 2 Sep, 2012 @ 1:42am
