First of all, I would never have expected the ball to stick to a sideways receptacle, had I not played some other maps before that utilize this mechanic. Second, I would have expected the ball to jump out of the receptacle once I stopped looking at it. Third, I would have expected the ball to not move while I'm looking at it through a portal. Other than that, neat mechanic

Nice Work . What do you use ? Mods or Authoring tool ?
Mesos  [author] 10 Aug, 2017 @ 5:27pm
you are correct gemarakup, its more of a tutorial. Most people have never seen a bumbleball before
Gemarakup 7 Aug, 2017 @ 12:21pm
Nice to know that I'm not the only one using the bumbleball, and I kind of just checked out this map for that. Also, nice to see that you're continuing Penrose. I think that having the bumbleball jump around like that is a bit of a strange choice, but do what you think is right. I just use Erik's keyvalues. Is this some kind of tutorial map with the bumbleball? It's just that I don't really see the difference between using the bumbleball and a cube in this puzzle. It basically involves not looking away, but no actual puzzles besides that. Do you have something else in mind that you're doing?

jandlml 28 May, 2017 @ 4:23pm

cochetmichel49 27 May, 2017 @ 6:00am
Nice ! Thanks

Penrose 06 is still under development, I don't have any specific release date (I've been pretty busy with school and work).
bonkrood 19 May, 2017 @ 2:20pm
Fun & kida crazy map, I liked it. :)
Wheatleyfan7 18 May, 2017 @ 7:17pm
Are you close to finishing 06?
ReezyWheezy 18 May, 2017 @ 12:52am
nice i really like this series :steamhappy:
Mesos  [author] 15 May, 2017 @ 7:05pm
Good news, development for penrose 06 is underway, I'm confident you guys will love it!

cool but quite short.
dven1 13 May, 2017 @ 2:08am
Nice map, well made and sufficiently lit.I tried for quite a while to get that ball gizmo into the receptacle until I realized you had to put it in gently and let it go when it wasn't vibrating or else it just fell out. Thanks for your efforts.

I know some people who may be able to help you: Rubycario and GamerXD54 Labs, and Batcat. (please note that Batcat and Gamer XD54 Labs have only done custom voices for cores, not models.)
GrottoLova 11 May, 2017 @ 12:46pm
This was awesome. I'm going to go search out the Penrose maps you reference! Thanks!
Mesos  [author] 10 May, 2017 @ 6:24pm
I'm kinda stuck right now though, having trouble with packing custom personality cores. If anyone has experience I would love to hear your solution.
Mesos  [author] 9 May, 2017 @ 5:18pm
you'll have to wait and see ;)
Wheatleyfan7 9 May, 2017 @ 2:14pm
I have a question, will there be a bigger picture developing here over time, like plot twists? If so that would be awesome!
Wheatleyfan7 9 May, 2017 @ 2:12pm
Did you know this map is the 3rd most popular single player map with custom visuals, and the 53rd most popular single player map overall? Good job!
ReezyWheezy 9 May, 2017 @ 1:10am
This was great. Not only did i like the mechanics but also the design and feel of the place. Great job! :steamhappy:
Mesos  [author] 8 May, 2017 @ 7:59pm
It's great to see all the support! Hopefully the penrose series will gain more traction as it becomes more popular.
quatrus 7 May, 2017 @ 6:59am
OK that was nice - but why does the bumbleball stay up against the ball catcher - thought it would fall down. Thanks for creating
Wheatleyfan7 6 May, 2017 @ 3:16pm
Penrose is one of my favorite custom map series! Keep up the great work!:steamhappy:
kwinten 6 May, 2017 @ 2:59pm
I told about your mappack to some friends :)
Mesos  [author] 6 May, 2017 @ 12:24pm
Thank you kwinten! As always, share it with your friends if you liked it!
Mesos  [author] 6 May, 2017 @ 12:24pm
I guess I should have made it more obvious, the bumbleball moves when you don't look at it.
kwinten 6 May, 2017 @ 12:23pm
very good map ! thumbs up !
kwinten 6 May, 2017 @ 11:43am
VIDE pack all automatically except for scripts, where you have to do it manually !
Let's try that now :)
Medhaze 6 May, 2017 @ 11:38am
I don't get it.. When does that ball jump?
Muad'dib 6 May, 2017 @ 11:20am
Very Good Map! This "Surface Division Field" is a very interesting element! But i dont get what the "Bumbleball" does. I mean sometimes it jumps up but im not sure what its purpuse
Mesos  [author] 6 May, 2017 @ 11:14am
Let me know what you guys think!
Muad'dib 6 May, 2017 @ 11:10am
Nice!
Mesos  [author] 6 May, 2017 @ 10:57am
It should be working properly now.
Mesos  [author] 6 May, 2017 @ 10:29am
yeah I used VIDE but I guess there was some error. Working on a fix right now.
Muad'dib 6 May, 2017 @ 10:25am
Yep VIDE is the best
Mesos  [author] 6 May, 2017 @ 10:24am
ah thanks for letting me know
kwinten 6 May, 2017 @ 9:18am
I don't (can't) play the map because it has too much missing models and textures. I suppose you use Packrat as mappacker, which isn't a good thing. Use VIDE instead, which automatically pack all your textures for you, and very easy to use !
Link is here: http://www.tophattwaffle.com/downloads/vide/
Hope you can fix this fast :)
Muad'dib 6 May, 2017 @ 4:18am
I have missing textures and models!
