I have a weird problem:
I've installed the device inside the ship, next to a reactor.
Now, If I try to activate the cloaking device it became invisible ONLY if I disconnect the player from the console.
There is a way to fix it ? Maybe a wrong setup ?

It's still working for me with quarks - if I grind a large gyroscope down then place it again while the cloak is on, it cloaks successfully.

@killer whale: I don't think it's working anymore but you'd have to try. Back in the day it did work without weapon core. If it does not work there is another cloaking mod that works with weapon core. I can't link it rn though

This was always one of my favourite mods and I finally have the time to play the game again just to find out the mod is dead :cry:

Hi all. Unfortunately I no longer have time to tweak or update any of my SE mods; in fact I'm on a complete SE break. As always, 100% of my work is totally free to share/change/republish, any other author whose content is inside my mods should be consulted separately. Hope the community is still enjoying the game and modders can benefit from my dodgy work!

HI SB, interesting idea. I'm on a SE break and lack time to mess with mods, yes you're dead right in that all it does is change transparency on the blocks (although armour works opposite to other blocks, or something else similarly Keen-weird, IIRC) and probably turns off lights just once. Did you try turning lights back on after the transition has finished? That may work. Also if you find any reference to lights being switched off feel free to comment out and republish, I am 0% stressed about any of my mods being reengineered.

The cloak is turning my lights off and I want them to stay on in an experiment to add cinematic lighting to a scene. An attached beacon (so I can find the grid) stays on. But my loose understanding of the code just "hides the grid" so I'm not sure what it shutting off the light and leaving the beacon on, but whatever it is I'd like to include the lights.

Hi all, thanks for the comments. I am on an extended break from SE so not updating mods, with the continual work Keen does to improve the game it's likely this one is now obsolete. I might come back one day but for now sorry, I lack the time to bring my mods back up to date.

I'm so confused from this

So, the mod hasn't worked in creative. I made an entire platform out of batteries, hooked it up to a button and pressed it, nothing.

*Then* it faded once, so I sawed the cloak thing to get rid of the cloak (because I flew off it), now every block I place is invisible, and when I activate the cloak (With the same button, on the same platform, in the same place as the old one) it doesn't work anymore. I just... What?? What's happening?

for some reason my ship will only enter cloak if it is landed, and it will stay cloaked when i unlock the landing gear, but i can't cloak while flying, i've ruled out the power problem

I use the mod pretty frequently in survival and it works great (when i have the power) but i tried to do some ship building in creative and for the life of me i can't figure out why the Cloaking Device isn't drawing power from my reactors. I tried using vanilla reactors and tried using modded reactors. Yet nothing seems to be working any ideas how to fix this?

Also it SHOULD use a ton of power...cloakign devices canonically do..in like...ANY canon...they are OP otherwise. Generally all you can fire are torpedoes while cloaked.

i have defence sheilds and i have had no problems previously with it, it does take up a hell of a lot of power consumption though even for a small ship, but i dont think power is your issue, have you tried activating it directly from the shield block?

So no matter how I install this, I flick it on and nothing happens. My ship is generating 30GW of power and isn't very big, so I know that's not the issue, the block just straight up doesn't turn on. What gives? I tried reorienting it different ways and all that but nothing. Does it conflict with defense shields or something?

Great mod. 1 issue tho, it disables output on LCD, so when swithed on and off LCDs do not show anything

Yeah this mod still works if your having issues it may be you arent generating enough power to activate the cloak

When I cloak my base after I decloak none of my gates, doors, or hangar doors will open/close. When I try to go through them it will let me go through when it's in the open position but to me it will appear as if it's still closed.

Hi Pitch, check you have enough power for it as that's the usual reason it appears not to work. Paladin I don't think I added airtightness, sorry; didn't think of it due to the open style model. But collision box is full size so perhaps it is?

Anyone had any luck with this against WeaponCore weapons? I have a torpedo that cloaks nicely but the flak guns have no problem targeting it as soon as it's in range. This is just using vanilla gatling guns replaced by WC.

Hi there guys. I haven't maintained this mod for some time so there are likely lots of update changes which make things... weird. Unsure when I'll get a chance to revisit it at the moment but I'll pop it on the list and hopefully get some time at some point.
KnightTheSir copying and pasting your grid will hopefully work, if it's on a server maybe ask the admin to help.

So I used this on my base and it works great. However, it made the doors and gates when uncloaked not show up anymore.... so its an invisible clocked door while everything on the base around it is showing. Any suggestions?
